Wasted 2 years of my life

I just wasted two years with a woman I met on Lit :(

I hate myself for getting involved with someone I met online but it just happened - We talked everyday, we were essentially a real couple - except for one major detail we never video chatted, never met, only spoke on the phone and exchanged photos.

I shared my life with her, she shared hers with me, I tried to set up meet ups, I bought her webcamS (plural) but there was always an excuse - not enough money, computer doesn't work, etc etc. We fought about this all the time, and she would try to end things and I would feel like a jerk for pushing the issue.

I recently decided that I was going to book a trip regardless of what she said, I had it all ready to go, flight hotel etc. 1 week before we were supposed to meet up, she sent me an email basically saying that she was not the person that she said she was! She sent me photos of one of her friends, and it turns out she has 2 KIDS! WHAT THE HELL?!?! I was always suspicious but I was so into this girl I buried my suspicion!

Clearly what I thought was a real relationship was a big bag of countless lies!

What the hell is wrong with people? Why are people so fucking unsatisfied with themselves that they have to lie about who they are for 2 years!!

In hindsight I'm really happy this relationship is over, this person was a professional liar, who needs help!

Im just dumbfounded for what to say, what crazy fucking situation!

PS: if you have something rude to say go fuck yourself - I just need to let this out.

Sorry, was alluding to the last time something like that happened here, it was a guy pretending to be a girl, and used pictures from a friend named Natasha to mislead folks.

You cant blame her if you kept up the pretense once the first webcam didn't work.

Here is a woman who thought you are so much, she created a whole fantasy personality, just to please you. It takes a lot of time and effort to do that. She must have thought you were worth it and all you can do is bitch.
