Okay, I have only had sex with one person, and I've always used condoms, so I don't think I have an STD, but ... when my SO and I start getting worked up and begin foreplay, I sometimes get a burning sensation in my vagina. It's not really painful, just enough to notice, and after about 2-5 mins, the sensation goes away. I don't feel it after that. Sex doesn't hurt, no burning. Just during foreplay. Has anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone have any ideas on what the cause could be? Should I go see a doctor? I don't think it is something to worry about, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

How's your lubrication when you get the sensation? Is there a "normal" amount, or are you really slippery? Does it happen every time, or sporadically?

There is either just a little or a normal amount, and not everytime, just sporadically.

I think I've had the same thing on occasion when there's not quite enough lubrication or there's a little irritation for whatever reason. It helps to add a little KY, Astroglide, or whichever lube you prefer (worth a try at least). It doesn't sound like an STD, but if it doesn't go away, go to the doc because you might have a low-grade vaginal infection or something. Good luck!
