Wanted In More Ways Than One (Closed for raiguy)

Tay chuckled softly, careful not to disturb Gwyn, as she burrowed against him as much as the pillows would let her. He was trying not to disturb her, but knew he was close to falling asleep as well.

Tay finally lost the battle to stay awake, falling asleep with a sigh. He could remember several times where this had happened. He'd lay down next to Gwyn, and then he'd be out almost as soon as she was asleep.

Gwyn woke up a few hours later and found Tay asleep next to her. Smiling, she gingerly sat up and moved her extremities before getting out of bed and stretching. She stretched every day, on the run or not, injured or not.

Tay woke up when he felt the bed moving. He saw Gwyn stopping, before moving to stop her before she could do a stretch or two that would pop her stitches. "You can keep stretching, but don't do anything that will stretch your abdomen or re-injure your ribs," he said, watching her stretch.

Tay chuckled, before looking at her closely. "You tell me," he said, before moving to walk with her to the kitchen. "One more meal, and then lets get you cleaned up," he said softly.

Tay grinned back. "We are going to have soup again, with grilled cheese this time. After that, it's time for a bath," he said, before fixing food for both of them, and then setting it on the table. He pulled Gwyn's chair out, before sitting down himself. "I'm probably going to need to help you wash. Is that okay?" he asked her as he started eating.

Gwyn nodded, diving into her food and eating ravenously. "I'm so hungry," she said around a mouthful of grilled cheese. "And yeah, it's fine. It might be better if you do, anyways. Just to make sure I don't irritate a wound or anything," she added.

Tay nodded. "I can try to make sure of that. I'll saran wrap everything so water doesn't get into the wounds, and you don't irritate them from washing or anything," he said, before slowly Gwyn down in her consumption of food. "No need to give yourself an upset stomach. Eat more slowly," he said with a smile.

"But I'm hungry! I haven't eaten a full meal since yesterday, and before that, I don't even know," Gwyn protested, but she did slow down on her eating.

Tay looked at her. "That's why you have to slow down. Your body isn't used to this volume of food, and it could make you sick. If that happens, and you start vomiting, you're going to rupture your sutures, and then it'll be a whole lot of pain," he said, before clearing their empty plates and bowls after they were finished eating.

Tay nodded, before looking at her. "That probably wasn't the healthiest thing though. With the lack of food you've eaten, we need to make sure that we are taking it slow and not making you sick with overconsumption," he said, before standing to hold his hand out to Gwyn. "Ready for cleaning time?" he asked with a little grin.

"Blame the ex. For the past two years since I stabbed him, I've been eating scraps out of Dumpsters," Gwyn said, nodding in answer to his question and grabbing his hand.

Tay grimaced, before nodding. "I can understand that. We just need to make sure that we don't overdo it and end up making you sick. Now, lets go wash you," he said, taking her hand and guiding her to the shower.

Tay grinned, before stripping to his boxer briefs as she followed him. Once they were in the bathroom, he grabbed two towels from the linen closet, before turning to Gwyn. "Do you want me fully naked, or not?" he asked cautiously.

"Does it really matter?" Gwyn asked dryly, undressing herself, wincing a little bit. "It isn't like we haven't seen each other naked before."

Tay nodded, before stripping out of his boxer briefs. He moved to help Gwyn, so she wouldn't have to bend too much, before guiding her into the shower stall. He was happy he had gotten the big stall, with seats, installed. "Sit down please, and then we can get started with the sponge cleaning," he said with a smile.

Tay got a sponge ready, as well as a tub of warm water. He added soap, before starting to gently wash Gwyn, making sure that he didn't get water on any of the wounds, or use too much pressure. He wanted to make sure she was clean, but didn't want to hurt her doing it.

Gwyn relaxed in the simplicity of the sponge bath, wincing occasionally. "This is nice," she said happily.

tay grinned. "No getting used to it. Once you heal a bit more, we are going to get you showering solo, so that I don't do anything stupid," he said with a chuckle.
