"Usually, people assume the more frequently you smoke, the worse it could be when it came to sex, but in fact, we learned the opposite was true," Eisenberg said. His study was published in this week's Journal of Sexual Medicine.

The study looked at data from the US government's National Survey of Family Growth. It asked more than 28,000 women and nearly 23,000 men how often they had sex in the four weeks prior to the survey and how frequently they used marijuana in the past year.

Women who didn't use marijuana reported having sex six times on average during the past four weeks. Women who used marijuana daily had sex 7.1 times on average.

The trend was similar for men. Men who abstained from marijuana said they had sex an average of 5.6 times in the four weeks before the survey, compared with the daily marijuana users who reported having sex 6.9 times, on average.

"We were surprised to see the positive association between users," Eisenberg said. "This was across the board: marital status, race, none of that mattered." The study focused on heterosexual sex, and it didn't explain why there might be a connection between sex and marijuana.

I strongly believe recreational marijuana should be legalized.Of course, it needs to be regulated and reasonably taxed. But it is not the role of government to tell adults what they can consume. Nothing good has ever came of that.It really is surprising that the generation that worshipped Pot could not get it legalized. Specifically, I enjoy edible marijuana. safe and effective. Just do it.

All branches of government are currently wringing their hands at the increased tax dollar windfall

All we ever drink are a few beers when out. We've never smoked or taken anything. I've always got plenty of sex and by staying sober I know what is happening.
We know people who use marijuana for pain and apparently it helps.

With all of the legal prescribed drugs we have to take we stay away from other things. Sadly we are all being forced to take prescription drugs when there are supposed to be things that actually cure cancer, dementia, and diabetis.

That in a nutshell is the US FDA battlecry... Without droning on , people dont realize that their entire premise is not to get you well its to get you dependent. Everything you need to cure most of those ailments ( cancer withstanding but thats a longer debate ) are readily available to you on the earth in a non synthetic form.

I refuse to take pharmaceuticals.. I had HBP... dont even take anymore of those stupid pill 130/90 is my average..

OH .. and bong rips..

The strain makes a difference too. My wife enjoys sex more when high on a sativa heavy hybrid, less so on indica. I don't know if we have sex more often, but I do know we enjoy it more. She says she has more intense orgasms. Works for me:)
