One of those mornings where I would love to have the spouse home for a romp. The ol' boy is frisky.

Thought about authors. We write about all kinds of sex and situations that can occur. Considered going to the stories for a satisfaction so to speak.

We write to elicit response, elicit wanking, elicit feedback to our thoughts and presentation of the stories. Other reasons exist I am sure, but consider only frisky mindset!

What do you do when you feel frisky? Go to the stories? Ignore being frisky? Look up specific authors? Search story list for the "H" rated stories?

Authors, do you find less tolerance for poorly written stories? Are you quick to move on to another?

I try to read some erotica when I am not feling frisky. It affords me a chance to find an author I like and if I become frisky in the reading, then I know who to turn to when I need some relief.

Seriously, though, it does usually take more than merely reading a story to get myself off. I need specific thoughts in mind, and often a story written by somebody else just doesn't "do it" for me, and that has nothing to do with the quality of the writing. It's the scenario and/or events that matter. I usually just make them up in my own mind, or write them out.

Sometimes I'll go to the stories and flip through what's new.

Sometimes I will pull out one of my works in progress and add another scene.

On desparate occasions I have resorted to the few DVD's I own.

But most of the time, I try to be patient and 'hold the thought'. I work at home and there's a better than even chance that if I play my cards right, I just might get some afternoon delight before the kids get home from school.

Yeah, good point, OnD. I do have my husband.

But, he works such long hours some days, and now especially, I seem to have a lot of nervous energy. Running is good, but it doesn't quite "hit the spot".

But, yeah, very often my hubby gets a nice surprise once the kids are tucked up in bed for the evening.

I envy anyone who can IGNORE being frisky. I, unfortunately, cannot.

So when I'm only mildly frisky, I'll dig up something in my preferred categories from the NEW list.

When I'm a bit friskier, I'll go to the Top Lists of my preferred categories and dig up something I haven't read yet.

When I'm on fire frisky (but not quite ready for the bedroom), then it's straight to my favorites list and an author that always does it for me, is the only place I turn.

Anything more than that, I'm shutting down the damn computer and heading to the bedroom. Stories won't do anything but frustrate when the demand is this high. Hard to keep your eyes open sometimes...

What do I do if I come across a badly written sex story? Read it and have a laugh, or cry if it's that bad.
