Wake for Byron: All that and a bag of chips...

Lying in my bed, watching The Americans like we used to, it somehow feels like he is watching with me. :rose::heart::rose:

4 more days until the yearly convention that I was at when Byron died.
He helped me with a lot of the preparation for it.
He had such fun and he was looking forward to doing it again.

Two years ago he disappeared, I spent most of it worrying about him, and last year, I was on the verge of tears through much of it, I am hoping this year will be better.

This is the biggest convention of the year, friends come in from out of town.
So along with the formal events I am part of, I usually see a lot of friends and party all night.

This year, I am pretty much winging it, which should be interesting and hopefully it will totally consume my mind. I do have lists of swag to pick up for various people if possible.

Wish me luck!

My younger brother passed away suddenly 13 years ago at the age of 38. Still miss him bad. Even if all we did was bicker and argue if together too long.

For Richard, Noor and Byron. And anyone else who has lost a loved one and still misses them bad.

Floyd was his favourite.

Sorry about your brother. Sudden death seems much different in some ways, sort of incomplete.

Thank you, Byron loved that too!

have a beautiful time. :rose: enjoy the music and the tea.

Thank you! I will be attending a couple teas, one is a huge costumed one, I will try to get a picture for you if you'd like.

Thanks! I will be careful and surrounded by friends most of the time.

I am almost done with part of my costume for Friday that I started it this morning. Still have Saturday to think about and figure out food. Set up starts on Wednesday...
ooh, what's your costume? got any pics?

I'd be interested too, but understand completely if you do not feel comfortable sharing. :)

( Noor, I think you know Mindfondler here? He has met G and I and so might vouch that we are real  )

No pictures yet, and I will think about it.:rose:

Yes, I know Mindfoldler but I already knew you were real.:)

It's Byron's yahrzeit (Hebrew death anniversary.)

At sundown, I lit a 24-hour candle and the spirit of Byron has filled the room and remain for 24 hours. :rose::heart::rose:

It's almost that time, another trip around the sun without Byron.

No convenient convention on d-day. I still hate it, but I think I am calmer now.

Thanks to everyone here who helped me with his loss, it has helped a lot.
