Wake for Byron: All that and a bag of chips...

That's the thing about most funerals, nobody will question who you are or why you're there. If anyone looks like they are going to just start crying and they'll leave you alone.
Some got a nice spread and it's a shame to let any go to waste.

And Catholics are alcohol friendly, so it's cool to show up drunk.

lovely roses.

they are

noor, i ran out of room again in my box so i've been reading through and saving byron's PMs to file. happy memories - his voice lives on. :rose: if i can find that post where he whispers a poem i'll link you :cattail:

here's the thread, and byron's whispers are post 26 i think and more comments from him afterwards.

5 yearsago!

:rose:

My first relationship happened because I whispered that in her ear. That relationship lasted six years, but we are BFFs to this day. And when we are in our graves, the ivy that grows on each of ours will seek out the other, until they meet.

Awwww...

Reads like By-By yanked that "grave" line pretty regularly, eh Noor?

But I gotta give props to my pal buttwipes for linking to the dead guy's own words instead of speaking/thinking/imagining for him, because we can all read for ourselves how the loon loved to lave the female cracks who swooned over him just as much as he loved to attack those who so obviously didn't.

No wonder forlorn swooners get so offended when their version of By-By is naturally equalized.

listen up, you nasty little piece of shit - what byron's own words show is that he knews how to care for others and that he cherished friendships. because HE had people who cared about him and were his genuine friends. YOU don't get that because CLEARLY you lack it in your life. Noor is a beautiful woman who turned Byron's life around, making him far happier and fulfilled with shared plans for their future. your future is empty because you've made it so. change or live the rest of your life a bitter little fuck. when you attack lovely people such as Noor to make yourself feel relevant, you got nuthin'.

now, back on ignore and spit your bile into the abyss cos i'll not read it.

The truth is you read all the bile, all the time.

Then you do your foot-stomping rant and promise to never reply again.

Liar, liar, cotton grannypants on fire.

It's the first time I've ever heard a eulogy begin~
"Listen up, you nasty little piece of shit!"

I'm not sure this wake is going well.
Hey Noor, this may not be the best timing, but Byron owed me 80 bucks.
He said if anything happened to him to ask you for it.

That reminds me; he borrowed my Rush tour jacket.

Yada, yada, yada...

Noor speaks/thinks/imagines second-hand poorly for the dead guy and you gotta step up and expose yourself as nothing more than the third-string wannabe you are on the subject?

By-By was skyping you, too, eh?

I believe loves that are different can coexist. I don't see why a 'bff' dearly loved and a cherished, adored partner cannot be both meaningful to a person, part of their hearts.

I only know Noor, and not so well, but I know enough to know I want to know more, that I have so far found her to have sense of the ridiculous enough to be sane in our world and sane enough to be kind in a world where this free thing is in short enough supply. I hope her nature is probably not to concern too much with this, she seems cool headed.

Byron loved his friends and tended to keep them for life. She is a lovely person.
I gave her the link to the recorded whisper. She told me that the ivy on their graves was a quote. There is some poetic license in that post. They both told me the beginning story which was strangely the same considering it was 40 yrs later and often memories do shift with time.
