Need some insight into the future? Have a clue about the past or present? Need some advice on a pressing matter? Want to know what to make for dinner? Need tips on dental hygiene? Say the secret word, and I, VoraciousValue will consult the spirits and (hopefully) provide the answer you need. Ask any question you like, and I will happily do my best impersonation of Miss Cleo:

What exactly is nougat?
I normally don't like to quote Wikipedia for something like this, but theirs was the best concise description I found:

"Nougat is a family of confections made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, and macadamia nuts are common), whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit. The consistency of nougat is chewy, and it is used in a variety of candy bars and chocolates.

"The word nougat comes from Occitan pan nogat (pronounced [ˈpaⁿ nuˈɣat]), seemingly from Latin panis nucatus 'nut bread' (the late colloquial Latin adjective nucatum means 'nutted' or 'nutty')."

And if you don’t mind me piggybacking onto your query - do you pronounce the “t” or not?
I'm far from an etymologist, but "NOO-gat" is the pronunciation I've always heard and used, and it appears to be the standard of that word in North America. Europe (possibly including Britain) might say "NOO-gah"

I thought you said "penis"...I'm so disappointed!

I need a new phone, but I'm not an electronics person and the options are overwhelming. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Can you help me narrow the field so I can get back to the important things in life, like switching out my seasonal work wardrobe and watching skoolie reno vids on YouTube?

The crystal ball seeks clarification. Please answer the following questions.

1. Are you Android or Apple?

2. What other needs do you have in a mobile phone?

3. What kinds of internet options are available to you?

4. What's your phone number?

Your call to the Crystal Ball is very important to us. We look forward to serving you.

1. Android
2. A camera that takes quality pics. (Didn't understand the question and doesn't want to admit it)
3. I currently use Spectrum? (See #2)
4. 😅 If you can find me, you can Skype me.

I usually use LG phones. They're slightly cheaper than more marketed models, they're not as flashy, and they get the job done. I like taking photos with my phone, and my V40 does that very well. The current V60 model that's out also gets praise for that (and it's 5G ready, which I'm anxious to try). I find my phones generally act up with public wi-fi, but I may not be paying attention to some setting or other. It does very well with wi-fi in, say, someone's else's home.

Breaking out the crystal ball this afternoon. It's chilly and the ball puts out a good bit of heat. ;)

Do we have any burning questions for the crystal ball this afternoon? :)
