hiya AH,

it was ok. a friend's son turned all of 12 yrs old on sat, so I went to his bday party...and sund I went to my aunts. (I know, I'm just a wild and crazy gal...lol)

How was yours?? You staying warm?? (weather WAS nice here, but turned a bit chilly last nite and is dang cold at moment (39) plus have a chance of frozen mix tomorrow.

warm weather, a tin roof (preferably a porch with a swing) and rain is my favorite way to pass the time. I could sit and swing forever.

OOOooooo... nothing beats the sound of rain on a tin roof. (sentimental sigh). or sitting and "watching the world go by" lol. or catching lightening bugs in a jar. Thanks for the reminder about the simple things, presents.

It is a nice area down this way. I keep planning to go to Blacksburg to take some cont. ed. It's just not worked out yet. When you were there, did you ever get to Roanoke to the star?? That has an awsome view. I need to try and make plans to do that soon also. lol. Tho, the drive up 581 can also be pretty.

No I never made it to the star in Roanoke. But I have seen it plenty of times from the road. That whole area is beautiful except when traffic is backed up.

You really should go up and see the view FROM the star. it can be awsome....I remember once I was visiting a friend was college...we all went up (on a fri nite) and there was a group of folks there playing guitar and singing old songs....it was fun

Hello Everyone,

First off I am a young male. I am only 19 years old. I go to college and just wanted something new in my life. Hampden-Sydney College if anyone is interested ... its right outside of Farmville VA. I am straight but not a gay basher, I just dont get into guys. If you want to chat just give me a holla. Sorry if I dont post often ... blame school work for that. I am doing pretty good. As for school ... I major in Economics with a minor in math. After school is over my college is hooking me up with a sweet job with Wachovia as an office executive the starting pay is $50,000 a year with bonuses up to $20,000. So all this BSin i have done for the past 2 years and 2 more to come should pay off pretty well. But thats enough about me ... how are you doing?

I'm doing ok now that the day is over. The last 48 hrs has been rough, mostly just w/ a variety of bad news stuff. Hopefully that is all over w/ now. Tho, Sat morn I am taking a CPR class (is this where I should ask for volunteers to practice mouth to mouth?? LOL) and working that afternoon. Sunday I have a spring equinox event..YEAH!! its here.

Ah, college days.... the 1 I went to was the wettest dry campus around. (note, ALWAYS stay on the good side of campus security.... never know when you might need to get into the kitchen to prepare for Rocky Horror.... hehe)

Well, for a non-drinking campus... we had quite a few lushes. 1 friend I knew had a whole drawer in his dresser just for wine cooler packets. A few other friends had the beer bongs going on, and the beer towers... and liquior for mixed drinks..... not to mention the hippy friends who followed the Grateful Dead and did the acid shots and pot.

Then it was also a time for massive experimentation.... had 2 friends come out of the closet, 2 got pregnant (1 had an abortion), and tho I was not in college in the 60's we did still have the sexual experimentation of free love, etc.

As for what I would have done different if I had known then when I know now? I'd probably had a different major, studied a bit harder (yes, I know it's what everyone says), and also been a bit wilder.

College is a time for learning balance.....need to study so that you can be successful in your career, but also need to remember how to have FUN! Make friends that can last a life time and memories that can make you smile for a life time. It's a very good time to learn independence, also.

You know angel that sounds a whole lot like my campus ... minus the pregnation. But as for the studing more ... yeah i should do that ... but i think i am stuck on the having fun part. However, my grades are still pretty good. Even though i do shit for work ... i am still an honors student ... amazing huh? Well thats about enough of my rambling as well. Hope you had a wonderful day angel and all those who decide to read instead of post as well.
