well, Norfolk is a bit far away and lately my time is like insane w/ activity....next wk alone I have to be in a diff town about 1-1 1/2 hrs from here for 3 diff nites, going to be in MD this wknd, AND trying to organize a health fair too boot....and somewhere somewhere in there I am trying to have a life...LOL

I visit it quite often (psstt.... look at my av, title, and location.... )

Patrick Co just opened a museum based on the fairy stones. not been to that yet, but am thinking of it.

They have a few huntsites for the stones. The 1 I like best is "Haynes 57", about 1.5 miles from the park. Theres another over at deer creek/deer run creek.....cant think of it at the moment. OH!! and if you go up the parkway to the overlook of "squirrel spur", you can hunt garnets.

thank you thank you. No, it wasn't that type of wknd trip. Went up for a class and was mostly surrounded by wmn. The few men there were either married or gay. Still had fun tho. The vegetation up there is so LUSH due to the rain, so the walking in the woods and just talking to like minded folks was a blessing. (happy sigh)
