Hey there angel..... thanks for the warning about Roman... especially since I will be meeting him Friday night at a lit together in MD. I'll be sure and pass on your warning. *lmao*

Well, I must admit I was wrong about something I was thinking. Here, all along, I thought CMT stood for "Certified Medical Tech". But, I do believe I like yours better. ;) Gee, ya know, My back and neck are really stiff right now. I wonder if there's anything that can be done about that?

sure, Red, I get $50.00 an hr. :)

the va thread can be a bit quiet, but most of the folks on here are nice (you have to watch out for that Roman fella tho.....(((looks around to see if he heard me..lol)))) )

of course I'm hear, hunny--I'm omniscient, remember?:D

As to your comment about 'chatty' posters--no way I could out-chat you, babe (see--you STILL have more posts than I do!)

Oh, they're not much impediment to my Lit posting...I just bounce one on each knee while I type! And as an added bonus, they learn how to balance themselves early, so maybe I can sell them to a circus when they're teenagers!

Morning to All

Morning to all you VA'ers. I don't get to get in here and post near as much as some, but I try hard. Did I just say "hard?" Speaking of hard, I just had to post on page 69 so I could grace my namesake page, LMAO!

There I go being naughty. Guess I could say, "The devil made me do it!" I'm good when I'm bad.

Hey, even though I have been here longer than a lot of people, you can see I haven't been able to post near as much. Maybe I can tell the story of why sometime, but now is not that time. Anyway, how do you find out about the things like the "Lit together" refered to hear. I would love to actually meet some of the great people I have met hear on Lit.

Hiya Jay. Glad you could stop by, not sure I've met you before tho. :).

As for lit-togethers. Not sure how the MD one got arranged, but the Carolina thread had 1 a few months ago. It was talked about on the thread, and plans were made, folks showed up and had dinner, talked, ect. Navarre (I think that's his spelling, if not, his lady Red delicious) could prob give you more details. :)

Guess I'll have to check out those horns more closely. ;)

And you are thinking that this is a problem? *wicked chuckle* Hope you are having a great weekend! :rose:

Well, when you get speared on one of them, I don't want to hear any whining about it. You WERE warned after all. :)

DC Metro-area Lit-together

Hey folks--I know that we have plenty of posters here outside the Northern Virginia area, but I was interested in gauging interest in a DC-area Lit-together--tho' at this point my idea is much less formal than a dinner--maybe more like meeting up at a happy hour at a bar, with the option for folks to go have dinner if enough people show. Based on my experience in planning the recent Maryland Lit-together, it's better to be casual and flexible in planning such events...in any case, feel free to post your reaction here on this thread or in a PM to me!

Roman

PS va_angel...thanks for issuing that 'warning'...I'll be sure and give you your just desserts for that comment!:p

Hello fellow virginians. I'm 30 and happily married.
I live in Appomattox. It is nice to see we are not alone here.

So, speaking hypothetically, if I were to entertain your sordid preferences...what would the dessert be served on?:p

well.... if you were Emeril, you'd probably make a bed for it...maybe fruit slices or a pastry like setting, and then would add fruit purees around the plate edge for garnish, as well as some shaved chocolate on top. :D
