Howdy and welcome back va.

I actually went to a Renaissance fair this weekend. Had a wonderful time. Maybe a little "geekish" but I'm man enough to admit it! (for those of you who do not know to what I am referring, please check the Nerdy Chicks thread).

Hmmm. also wondering about a Lit social in NC in two weeks. That way I could combine business and pleasure. Want to come? You and me would make two.

WHAT do you mean "geekish"?? (haughty look). I am an SCA member of LONG standing (even have an aoa, from times past. lol) ((and in case you don't know the SCA, think ren fest but as a hobby. YOU dress up in the garb, YOU talk the talk and walk the walk. Do the research for the personas, ect). While I was in Charlotte this past wknd, I almost went to the Ren fest there, but time ran out on me (and money was a tad low also........and they have SO MANY nice things--- 'drools thinking of the swords and leather products') lol

Not sure about my schedule for the next few wks. One of my aunts is suppose to be having surgery at some point, but they have to get her strength up before they can. (She does NOT take care of herself, stubborn biddy)

In case you've not noticed, I'm also on the nc list you refered to. since I live so close to nc.

Crisp and cool is right. Soon rain will be upon us, lots of rain that might help ease the drought. I'm glad I cut the grass yesterday. I moved here after many years in California, so I'm spoiled about weather..I like it 80 degrees with 40% humidity. That's perfect.. Are you a native Virginian?

Yup, I was born and raised here (don't hold it against me tho..hehe). Have friends in a few other states that I have visited. Tho, I still seem to like VA best, something about it. (shrug)

I like Virginia too. Although not as gentle as California, the climate is gentle enough. The people are friendly and the city is clean and interesting. I've been here four years, so I guess I know what to expect, but that's different from saying I'm accustomed to it. LOL. I miss decorating my palm tree with Christmas lights!

Banana trees are good! Maybe the kind that they grow here are where those ubiquitous dancing bananas come from.

I have a ficus tree. I festoon that with lights when the season is right. Then again, I have lights on part of my back porch too to get some light on summer evenings.

Heck, just give me a marguarita and I'm all set! Want one?

It's the water they use on them. It will make MANY things odd. hehe.

Go to your USER profile, then you "edit profile" at the bottom it will allow you to select an AV. You can use a picture or get one from the web. I use pictures so I can't help you with finding one on the web. The pictures have to be small, 150 pixels x 150 pixels is the largest you can have.
