Virgin skin

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. How many people here still have virgin skin? Meaning, no piercings and no tats? I've been thinking about getting a few piercings and even a tattoo, but it seems there is becoming an increasing shortage in the number of people with virgin skin. I've even come across those claiming to be conservative that have something.

I myself already have one piercing, so I guess I'm not a virgin anyway, but I was curious. Are the tattoos and the piercings becoming mainstream? Is an unaltered body a thing of the past? It just seems to me that there is a minority is forming for those who wish to leave there body unmodified.

As for myself, I would like to have a traugus piercing, two ear lobe piercings, a brow piercing, and a chin stud. That's what I'd like for my piercings. I know a lot is placed on the position of an ear piercing for a guy as far as what orientation he is sexually. Myself, I don't care. I never did care for lables. I think officially as long as the left ear has more piercings a guy is still straight. Right? I need a consult. I think I'll just even up anyway. I don't care. If I don't like them I can always take them out.

The tat I was thinking is a gothic style cross with a phoenix emerging from the top. It would be a custom tat and I'd have to have a friend draw it out for me. I'm not sure where to get it though. I've always been more cautious of a tat because those are much more permanent.

So, what's the skin like where you live? Mostly modified, or still virgin?

I have one small tattoo, and my ears are pierced one time.

When I got my tattoo, it was weird because I would catch a glimpse of it in the mirror (it's on my back) and think, "what's on me?"

I love my tat, but I did have to go through a small period of mourning when I realized that I would never be truly "bare" again. Never again just be me, completely naked, unmarked and pure.

That being said, I already have my second and third tats planned.

That's what I'm like! I'm like, I want one really bad because of what it means to me, and what I've been through. I want that reminder. I want to show others. When others ask me about the tat, I want to proclaim, proudly, that it's part of me because of these reasons. That it's an outward sign of an internal strugle and identity.

At the same time I know I'll never be able to go back. I'll never have that level of purity again.

I've heard many people say that it's somewhat addicting to get a tat. The first one seems so euphoric that subsequent ones soon follow. You're not alone there Logo.

Virgin? Hardly.

I don't have any tattoos or piercings.

At my age I don't intend to start. I have enough skin markings from the accidents and incidents of a long life without adding artistic ones.

My body is not a blank canvas nor is it now particularly attractive as a background for displaying art.

There's the appendicitis scar from before keyhole surgery, the Chinese tong scar on my wrist, the scar on my left thumb from a craft knife, the bullet scar...

I think I have enough for my family to identify a mangled corpse if necessary.

Wow. You're right Og. Whether it be with ink, or life, or skin does tell the tale of our lives. For better or worse, people get an idea of who we are from the moment they see our skin. It sounds like you have a great story, better or worse, it's your story. You tell it everyday just by being. Your skin tells it.

Thank you very much for sharing Og. I appreciate it.

I don't have any tattoos... they're scary. :)
I'm not a fan of needles or pain. :p

However, I did go through a self mutilation stage.
Therefore, each of my ears are pierced 5 times, plus 2 in the cartlidge of my left ear. :D

Most girls I know have their ears pierced.. a few have tats..
Actually, I have quite a few guy friends that have virgin skin.
That's funny.... I never thought about it! :D

Around here, there isn't a definate trend of self mutliation, and some people are shocked by my ears.
(And it's not like I wear obnoxious earrings in all my holes. I keep rhinestone studs in all of the holes but the first one. That's where I wear my big earrings. ;):D)

Good question though... never woulda thought about it probably. :)

Okay, this is another one of those wierd fetishes I have. As soon as you talked about all of your piercings, the first thing I thought about was how hot that was. Seriously, strictly from your description of your self mutilation trend, I want to fuck you. That's just me though. I hear someone who likes that, or does things like that, I want them, badly.

I've thought about it because of what I just mentioned. I seem to be forming into quite the masochist. If someone else is into pain, all the pain. I know how I would act in a sexual situation like that though. I would turn it into a competition to see which one of us could take the most pain. That's what scares me most. I can get carried away.

It's really amazing how apparent simple things can play a role in a much larger picture. Thanks for your reply. :)

Definitely euphoric. When there is that level of injury to your body, you make tons of endorphins (a self-produced organic morphine, if you will) and you feel great when it's done.

My tat is actually something very important to me also. I had it designed to represent my son, who has a lot of turtle qualities. The woman who designed it drew a lot of birth imagery into it as well and included all four corners and all four elements. It is a perfect representation of who I am.

Healed over ear piercing, but no tats. They wouldn't show through the hair.

This is how I always felt about piercings. If, in twenty years, I didn't want it anymore I could simply let it heal up. There'd be a little spot, but nothing that I would really consider a big deal. I think that's why I'm so into piercings. On the same token, I've been gauging the one I have now. That makes it much more permanent in my opinion. Even if I take it out, from going to larger gauge sizes, I'd have a considerable mark left.

I'm at an 8 gauge now and want to go to a 6. I can do it easily as far as the skin goes. I'm hesitant because of the location. I have a frenum piercing. I use an 8 gauge u-bend. It's big enough. If I go to a 6 I can easily see complaints in the future. I know it's hard as it is to give a blow job with a piercing there, let alone one so big. Even bigger would be even harder. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a woman that can do a six or larger. I think it's better during intercourse, but then again, anal not so good. I think the only positive is during intercourse. I know it can hit the g-spot really well from behind.

Personally, I'm really liking the stretching of the skin, the increase amount of pain as a larger ring tugs. I don't know. I'm just a masochist.

I am utterly and totally unadorned. No tatoos, no piercings, no rings, no bracelets, no chains, no henna, no stick-ons, nothing.

Sure, there are the scars that come from surgery, the scars from childhood incidents with sharp glass, the tiny scars that come from drunken encounters with the ground, the calluses from work and exercise...

But the marks that time is truly going whole hog on in my case is my joints. Everything is beginning to click and clatter. My back, my sternum, my knuckles, my knees, my toes, my ankles, my hip, my elbow, my neck ... hard to tip toe I guess! :D

You wear a watch? ;)

Wow. I love to learn things like this. Would definately make for a great nuance in a character. Thanks for sharing.

May I ask why?

I did have virgin skin until I was 18, because my parents wouldn't let me get anything. It was always "Wait until you're 18, then you can do what you like with your body."

I was out and getting my ears pierced on my 18th birthday exactly. Now I have my bellybutton pierced as well, but that's all I ever wanted to get pierced and I'm pretty sure that's where it stops. Tatoos just aren't my thing, I wouldn't feel comfortable getting one. They look pretty on other people, but they'e just not me.

Well, to start off I was a bit of an egotistical asshole. That phase sort of ended with the end of puberty.

Then when I started taking sports more seriously I realised I just felt great with myself and the way I looked ... there just doesn't seem to be any need for piercings.

And, of course, piercings and trinkets seem a bit out of place in the great outdoors ...

But I do love a fine female tummy with a proper little ornament :D

I was never pushed by my parents on anything. They always let me make my own choices. They never forced religion upon me. They never forbid me to do anything to my body. I'm very thankful for that. Sometimes I was a little pissed off, mainly because I was confused. But learning for myself what I wanted and needed was a great way to grow up, as a teenager at least.

I'm definately getting piercings when I get out of this job. I work in a professional retail setting. Gotta be proper for the customers. I know I could take the piercings out, but they would have to heal for some time first. That's why I can't do it now. Not enough time for them to heal.

I have no tattoos, although I had been considering one. But, I must say . . . Og has given me another side to consider and for that, I am in his debt. Thank you, Og. :rose: :)

I have my ears pierced and my cartilege pierced on my left ear. I also want to get my nipples pierced and my navel pierced before everything's said and done. It's for the exact reason you mentioned, Rika. I don't see piercings as permanent. If I don't like them in a few years, I can take them out and forget they were ever part of my life. Not so with tats.

In my neck of the woods, it seems everyone is tattooed and pierced. Although, strangely enough, my SO and about 5 of his friends all have virgin skin -- a definite rarity.

You know what else I find interesting. The difference between the impression of piercings and tats. The way I view them, I see people with a lot of piercings as more withdraw, slightly depressed, introverts. People with tats seem to be more outoing and extroverted. Just my observations.

Have you ever thought of gauging your piercings? Was there ever a time when you looke at one and said, "Ya know, I think I'd like to go with a 12 gauge in this spot over the 16."

Another interesting "piercing" is the lobe discs. I haven't actually seen too many people in my area where the lobes are disced vs. pierced. That kinda freaks me out a bit. Oh, and tounge forking is completely out of the question with me. I thought of a tounge piercing, but only because I have a huge oral fixation. I love to suck. I miss giving oral sex because I miss sucking on a clit. :(

It's always been a standing joke that I can't ever go into a shop without buying something, and when I was 18 I went into a tattoo shop to browse...

So I came out with a lone she-wolf tattooed on my right shoulder.

Strangely enough I have no piercings, although I'm considering getting my nose pierced - just a small stud.

The skin in my area? Lol! Completely virgin. Trust me, I put the rock chick into my particular part of Wales :catroar:

That's awsome. Your stud, would you do the piercing through the middle of the nose, like a u-bend, or a simple one on the outside? I guess I answered my own question. Stud, u-bend. You said stud. Thank you scherazade for answering my question. :)

My sinuses are so bad I don't think I could do anything at all to my nose. I can hardly breathe as it is.

Why choose the tat over the piercing? Is it because of the pain? I would think in the end they are about equal? No? Is it not "artsy" enough? I'm just curious.

No, I never have, but to each their own. :) I like mine small and discreet. :)

I know three people with the ear discs and it's definitely not something I'm into, either. *shudders* Haven't yet met anyone w/a forked tongue, but that's not my bag, either. TONS of people have a tongue piercing. I'm avoiding that one because A. (it's rare, but it happens!) in some cases, your tongue can swell up large enough to block of your air supply and you can die and B. It can royally screw up your teeth. I know these aren't true in every single tongue-piercing case, but I'm a wuss and would rather not find out if it would happen to me.

Sorry about the oral sex thing. :(

Like ogg, nothing on my skin except the story of my life.

Been thinking of a tattoo, but I probably won't follow through.

Don't worry about the oral thing. I'll get some when it's time for me to get some. Trust me, that's going to be one lucky woman. It'll take a long time for me to get my oral fill. :)

I think that's interesting. If you want them small and discreet, why have them at all? It seems as if you're trying to hide them almost.

I'm trying to recall the reasoning of why I got the one I got to begin with. Oh, wait, now I remember. I didn't like that area of my body. I did the piercing because I wanted to improve it.

I felt that way about my face for a long time, but I've really come to accept and appreciate my face. I still want the piercings, but for other reasons now. Some reasons I'm still trying to explore. Like, why I get unexplainably turned on by someone, guy or girl, with lips piercings and other facial piercings. Nipple piercings are fucking awsome. My nips are too small, and I heard a lot of things can go wrong there as well. One of our very own here was telling her story one day of how her nip piercing turned into a negative experience. Of course, she went swimming the day after she got it done. I'll let the guilty party identify themself if they wish. ;)
