Virgin? Again?

Y'know... someone just told me that after two years of celibacy you get to reclaim virginity. What is this all about? I'm thinking hard about this one. Is this a good thing? Or bad? OMG! I'm going to be a 28 year old VIRGIN!!!!! ACk!

Some of my friends bought into this notion of "born again" virginity. They had sex and then decided to wait for marriage. I think what it really means is your abstaining from further sexual intimacy. I think once your virginity is gone, it's gone for good no matter how you want to sugar coat it.

I am seriously considering no further sexual intimacy until marriage, it's a major decision and one I don't take lightly. There are just to many risks involved these days and I have a tendency to stress about the "what could happens" to the point of being obsessive. It's part of my personality. Granted being married doesn't mean my future husband won't cheat on me but I think the risk is lower.

ps - If I do decide to wait, which I'm leaning strongly towards...I will not be calling myself a virgin again.

My attorney tells me I shouldn't have sex for a year... and it's only been a month. ACk! I'm struggling a bit with this, but Pacific... you make a lot of sense in what you say. One can't be too careful these days... after all, who *CAN* you trust? Maybe I'll get used to this whole abstinence thing after a while (that may end up on the "What's the worst lie you've ever told yourself" thread...).

Ok, now I just gotta have this.
