To explain, I decided that it was high time to subscribe a few shekels to one of the pay per view erotic channels. I spotted the name of Hustler and thought how could I go wrong with using Larry Flint's fine product in it's title. I should've suspected a trap when the deal of $10 extra for the month or $7 for one evening. It was so dirt cheap and like a fool I went for it. Within a few moments I knew I was had - aside from some tits the camera angles cut off everything else.

Do they expect any guy to use his imagination?!

It's pure torture and someone should write a revenge story against these sellout artists delivering half baked porn. I could care less for the loss of currency, but I do care a lot about pornographic integrity. Down with soft porn!

First of all there is no such thing as soft porn.
This is a lable the ponography community got used to.
A term created by the artistic community to mean what they call "low grade" art.
The correct term is erotica (not the porn stories found here) which can be made in a higher quality.

For the purpose of this thread we will assume erotica is this "soft porn".
There is nothing wrong with soft porn, only the assumptions that you have made from it.
A person looking for straight pornography shouldn't go to "The Erotica Channel" for instance.
It's like expecting mustard to come from a ketchup bottle.
The way you describe it, it doesn't sound like good soft porn, but it can be made better, so don't piss and moan because you didn't get your sexual fix.

Well it is advertised on the Erotica Channel but I'm not here to debate the merits of verbage from someone who masturbates for a living.

Who first marketed the concept of just showing tits and hiding the real action? When did water downed porn show it's ugly face?

Someone else besides F.O. should have some answers.

Well if you must know, the watered down porn came out of the movie industry proper. I'm not saying somebody said hey let's make a movie where people are having sex at the drop of a hat but not show it beyond some tits and ass.

What happened more or less is certain companies did some titilating and had great attendance, so the next company took it a little teensy bit further. It escalated until you have the latenight showtime movies and what you payed for.

Keep in mind, this didn't really start until there was a noticeable market for porn movies, or as they were known at the time blue movies. Think about it this way, the first on screen kiss did not hapen until sometime around 1923 I think it was. The earliest known blue movie is 1917 or so. There are earlier of course but that is the oldest known released blue movie. A number of years later there are the 'education' movies, starting sometime in the 30's there would be movies made with bare breasted or even fully nude women. They were of course almost always black women in africa. These movies are called education movies because they were showing how they live or lived in africa, can't do that with fully clothed women and men.

Of course what they were really doing is showing a blue movie without the sex. These movies tended to lead to couples leaving a bit early or men rushing home to their wife or going to girlfriends. Because most of them didn't get to watch blue movies or had never seen them. Porn really hit it's golden age when VCR's were invented, in many ways still riding high because of one piece of electronics. Course now it's alot more than just one piece but porn would not have such a huge following without that one little piece of electronics.

Softcore porn honestly isn't exactly that far away from regular movies at this point. I mean watch the latest blockbuster sometime, chances are hugely good there will be a sex scene. There are a small and growing number of movies made in the last few years featuring people having regular old sex and a story, porn used to be the same thing with slightly more sex and slightly less story.

Now as for the revenge thing, what came to mind for me is a slight alteration of what everyone else has said. Instead of the actors tying up the director or fans doing things to the actors, we have a new actor doing things to his co star.

What I see is a new actor is signed up to do a soft core movie with his idol, older woman younger man, or older man younger woman if i was going to write it. They had watched all the movies their co star had ever done and really wanted to see more. So when they get cast to co star with the object of their lust, they are excited and come up with a plan after they do the first scene calling for sex and don't actually have sex. The second scene they have sex, they set things up so they will have sex whether the co star wants to or not.

I don't know. lol I have HBO & Showtime and have really gotten into The L Word and Big Love. Loved Rome but supposidly the season 2 ender was actually the series end as well.

I've not watched in a few years now, but I remember every Friday and Saturday night they would have those movies on, starting at 11PM local time until 3-4AM.

Maybe you could have a group of fans kidnap the director, the male star and the female star.
