Yet another "Socialist Paradise" bites the dust.

It appears that the Socialists are finally going to be run out of Venezuela after turning what should have been the crown jewel of S. America into a shit hole.

The only question remaining is are we going to have to deploy any troops there after the Maduro regime falls? Maduro, like Chavez before him, lavished the Venezuelan military with all sorts of goodies while at the same time purging it's ranks of all but the 'true believers.' Further a good portion of the Venezuelan military are in reality Cubans. Why? Cuba is heavily dependent on Venezuelan subsidies. The Cuban government has a highly motivated vested interest in keeping socialists in power. A regime change in Venezuela means no more subsidies for Cuba and no place for the Cuban 'advisors.' In other words the collapse of the Maduro regime hasten the collapse of the Cuban regime.

Should Cuba decide to deploy troops to prop up the Maduro regime you can expect the US to deploy to make certain Maduro and his cronies fall.

After the fall of the Maduro regime it's going to take years of humanitarian aid to undo the damage that socialism has done to Venezuela.

Socialism, a failure every time it's been tried.

Nah....it's not the cold war anymore....53% of America is fucking DESPERATE to Venezuela the USA and if they could resurrect Comrade Lenin to come and take the USA by the throat they wouldn't hesitate.

I think we're more likely to support Cuba and Maduro.

Especially if we get involved after the (D)'s take control...gotta support those comrades.

Except Greece....and soon the rest of them as soon as we stop paying their defense bills. :D

That would make no difference. The social democracies of Europe do not even need defense establishments. Russia's not going to invade them, and no one else could, and they're not going to fight each other.

The UN and the EU's panic/outrage at the idea says otherwise.

The social democracies of Europe do not even need defense establishments.

The social democracies of Europe disagree.

Russia's not going to invade them, and no one else could.

Yea.....we've heard that before, 80 somthin' years ago.

But considering you think there is nothing un-American about socialism, not really surprising you're so avidly promoting round 3.

No, I want to Scandinavia the USA.

Going to have to get the bottom 50% to start paying their fair share like the Scandinavians at a bare minimum to even consider that.

But you don't want to because you don't want Scandinavia....you want Venezuela. :D

He doesn't know fuck all about Scandinavia. They do NOT have anything approaching socialism there. Sweden tried it decades ago and abandoned it because they saw it was taking them in the same direction that Venezuela went.

They're paying it now, including the ones who are paid instead of paying.

No, they aren't, and taking isn't paying your fair share buddy. :D

That's why even the poorest Scandinavians come up off a sizable chunk of their income.

And even with all that they are having a hard time keeping their shit from imploding, especially with the influx of refugees leeching their delicately balanced systems into collapse.

There are no free lunches....someone has to pay and they only pay so much before they either tell you to get fucked or they run out of money, either way the scam ALWAYS falls apart at some point. ;)

I know, their economies are more capitalistic than ours is.

Their taxation isn't even remotely as progressive either.

Two socially liberal things he outright rejects because he's not a social democrat or social liberal but an outright Marxist far closer to Lenin and Mao than Scandinavian social liberalism.

Irrefutable proof right here in the thread...thanks kirk. :D

Send Don L'Orange there. Maybe he can get them to build his wall.

Of course he is. He thinks that following 'Social" with 'Democracy' makes his Marxist utopia more palatable. In reality it's like putting lipstick on a pig. Eventually the lipstick wears off and you're stuck with the pig.

The socialist movement existed before Marx joined it, and IMO would have been better off without the pseudoscientific intellectual substructure Marx gave it.

The collapse of Venezuela has nothing to do with the Democrats in America. Quit trying to draw that parallel.

Nothing in your description, lavished the Venezuelan military with all sorts of goodies (don't we lavish the Military with goodies?), purging it's ranks, military full of non-nationals, ... describes Socialism.

Maduro is just another piece of shit authoritarian dictator. Like Tiny wants here in America. A failure every time it's been tried.
