i have so much to be thankful for and if i were to put it all down here, this post would be epic. (i don't do epic posts)

last night we were all watching dogma and i promptly fell asleep. my wife took me upstairs and tucked me in, said goodnight...i didn't think much of it except that she wanted to stay up and be social with our wonderful guests.
when i woke up this morning, she asked me to see if there was anything in the yard that the dog could chew as people went swimming last night.
i went downstairs (in a towel) to let the dog out and what should i see?

i've never asked for anything much for my birthday (materially) before because i've never really wanted...this was a wonderful surprise and my wife (& co.) stayed up to all hours putting it together.

Then!!! as if that weren't enough, kat came out to lay down on the hammock with me and gave me a cd with a song she did for me. it seems a tad overwhelming.
