Vanilla coke

I have see that vanilla coke in the stores. I have been curious to taste it because I have never had a vanilla coke before ... :)

But I think the coke I am obsessed with at the moment is diet coke with a twist of lemon !

A friend of mine gave me one while we had lunch at her house and since then I have been hooked !!!! :)

Vanilla Coke rocks--no more trying to get just the right amount of vanilla in the Coke and having the whole mess fizz all over my countertop! I do wish it'd come in something besides those pussy little 20 ounce bottles, though--I want it in a can or a nice glass bottle, thank you very much. I hope it's not just a trial run because I'll be a jonesing fool when this batch runs out!:p

Yuck ..it does taste like cream soda like granma always had in her fridge...Although in mighigan we have a brand of pop called Faygo who make a decent cream soda

I have always loved vanilla coke. I used to make it at the bar for myself. Now Coke makes it for me. I love it when the market caters to me, don't you.

I remember Faygo.... must be a midwest thing. They still make it.

I dig Vanilla Coke, though I don't know if it's going to go full time or not. I would like it to, because it's less harsh than Coke is. Then again, maybe I just don't drink enough soda. :p

Actually, I grew up in NY and I remember sseeing RC Cola in the supermarkets.

I have been waiting for this thread.

I seem to recollect there was a thread a while back discussing the soon-to-be-released vanilla coke.

I think this stuff kicks ass.

I have to tell you that the first time I ever heard of vanilla coke was when I first watched Pulp Fiction.
It just sounded fucking cool and I had to try it.

heyyyyyyyyyyy

am i the only drunkered around here?? haha

try v-coke with light barcardi rum or parrot bay... it is sooooooooo good! I haven't tried it with anything else yet but I bet the possibilities are endless!

has anyone else done some expirementing?

I tried my first one this week. I'm with Myst...I need to try one again before I decide what I think.

We have Faygo here in the south. I like the Red Pop.

I have had vanilla coke too. but we have mixed it with jack daniels and it was ok. Though last week our house had ants and the thinkgs wouldn't go near the vanilla coke.hmmmmm. creepy

In my C-store the Faygo line still sells suprisingly well.

We've got quite a few flavors....I'd guess around 20-25, but the top three are Cream Soda, Red Pop and Rock & Rye.

I've always been a big fan of the Cream Soda, and so when the Vanilla Coke came out I was anxious to try it. It wasn't all bad. Not what I expected, but not bad.

It sells well so far also.

To each his/her own.

I bought a Vanilla Coke earlier tonight because I looked at this thread and was interested.

It tastes like . . . well . . . it tastes just like a Coke Float: Coke and vanilla ice cream. Of course it does. I have them all the time, so Vanilla Coke wasn't really anything new.

The really sad thing is that I also bought a 2-liter of Mountain Dew Code Red. The 20 oz. VC cost $1.09. The Code Red, which was three times as big, cost 99 cents.

My verdict: unless it comes out in 2-liter bottles, don't buy it. Get regular Coke and a box of Breyer's.

I guess now we'll all have to wait until August when Blue Raspberry Pepsi comes out.

Just a tip for all of you coke lovers...

Do not buy "Mexican Coke" ever. Under any circumstances. Do not buy it.

Mexican Coke is exactly that, Coke from Mexican bottling facilities. The problem? It's nearly expired. So what does Coke do? They ship them up to Hispanic and Black areas (Read: Southern states) and sell them for cheaper and in glass bottles.

i worked in a pharmacy with a fountain and used to make vanilla cokes on a regular basis. I never tried one because I don't like coke but I would make myself vanilla 7-up. We had all sorts of syrups and so you could get pretty crazy with the combinations sometimes (lime-coke). My favorite was strawberry 7-up.
