YoursSINSerely, Welcome to the A/H and even more to the contest thread. I'm DG and I do have a joke for most anything. I also do like the sense of humor that BFW has.

To be honest, it takes time to build up a readship. You did the right thing by posting for the contest. You will get more reads for posting in the contest. Your overall votes avg. may be lower but don't let it stop you. Just give it your best and good luck to you. Most of your votes will come in the first couple of days although you will still get reads for a long time.

Yep, you should be fine, as long as you put the VALENTINES DAY STORY CONTEST 2009 bit in the notes section of the submission form. (If you forgot, there's still plenty of time to click the link and edit it. Shouldn't affect your position in the queue for a themed contest story)

The deadiline is the 5th, so you had until at least midnight to get it in -- probably until midnight tomorrow.

Just checked my score and votes. I noticed I lost around a half dozen votes on each story. Score didn't get affected.
That's where it starts for me. It will happen a time or two and then "Boom" lose a ton of votes.
Doesn't affect me much but thought I'd pass the info along in case it happens to others.

I lost one vote, I believe. Score went up, so it must have been a 4 or lower. I'm actually floating between 4.60 and 4.65 now. Only four PCs an a couple of emails, though. So, it obviously isn't hammering anyone with emotion *laugh*

I just have fun writing and watching the roller Coaster ride. Of course I'd like to do well but it's fun watching it all happen. I always feel somewhat sorry for some of the newer writers. I wish the commenters whould stop hammering them.

Know what you mean. I escaped a lot of that, because I started out in Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and there aren't all that many harsh commenters there. The ratio of useful critique to pure dickheadedness in the comments is a lot better, too. Even a scathing comment tends to have some useful information in it.

Can't imagine what it must be like for someone who debuts with a first story in Loving Wives.

I've written my share of Loving Wives. I do have to say that I get a kick out of a lot of the comments. I also get some nice ones also. I looked through my submissions and found that half of my Loving Wife stories have an 'H'. There are some that are also my lowest rated stories. haha

The loving wife crowd do not like wimpy husbands or cuckholding. If you go there you're lucky to have a score of 3.00. LOL Getting back together and your looking at 4.00 unless both have cheated. Then, the readers get pissed off that the characters suck. Of course these remarkks come from people that read porn.

Well we have until April so im sure ill think of something. It does feel similiar to summer loving and National nude day so im going to have to find a unique idea.
