The sudden elevation of Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., to House speaker pushed his record's vetting to after his election. So it was only once he became second in line to the presidency that most people learned Johnson played a key role in the House’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, is virulently anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ Americans, and has promoted teaching the Bible as a history book in public schools.

Gotcha. I'm open for his belief system to be different than others. I'm tolerant of non-Christian and other views, too. In his new role, he will have to differentiate those beliefs from his personal ones and foster decisions based on the legal basis, not religious bases for governance. We will have to see how he handles that role. No more Hugh omnibus spending legislation loaded with pork barrel spending, we’re 33 trillion in debt. We have a congress that is completely out of control with spending. I agree with Vivek that budgets start at zero. Ukraine doesn’t get a dime till Biden pulls his head out of his ass and stops the invasion at our southern border. Build a wall, a comprehensive wall the length of the total southern border. Need to stop all illegals from crossing our border, remain in Mexico till asylum’s cases are adjudicated first. You have to create a mobile city to house all those workers, not to mention temporary roads, water, sewer, and only God knows what else those workers would need. Here's a novel idea. Take that money allotment, hire GED level teachers, educate those illegals, give them trade skills, make the best of them citizens, and return the rest of them to their original home countries. Who knows what many educated, ambitious foreigners could do to improve their countries' problems once they landed back home and understood what to do? They could stay home and improve their lot - democratically speaking.

The house bill is paid for with part of the stupid 80 billion IRS funding. Personally I want bills debated based on their individual merits. We have such a bloated budget it’s time to dissect our present budget and scrutinize our needs and funded based on revenue. We can’t afford everything. Eliminate redundant programs, consolidate others and eliminate some totally. Spending should be revenue based not emotionally based.

Our porous border is a national security concern and by constitutional design national security is the number one priority of the POTUS. 5 cities in the US are now demanding 5 billion each to accommodate undocumented immigrants. That’s just the beginning.

In 2020 Mr. Trump said he could build the wall in two years and make Mexico pay for every dime of it. That, we all know was rhetorical hyperbole. The southern border is 1,954 miles in length.

I personally don’t care what Trump said about Mexico paying for a wall. Biden’s interpretation of immigration law is causing irreparable damage to our country. Our cities are being overwhelmed by illegals. Biden’s policies are allowing millions into our country without a plan on how to deal with them. Cities are expected to shoulder the cost which in many cases are already maxed out and on the cusp of insolvency. Biden has bastardized the definition of asylum.

A comprehensive border security plan does not just entail a fucking wall, but it should include a one hundred percent perimeter coverage of every inch of our property. 600,000 got aways is insane and if you’re OK with that then you’re insane. Every security analyst is very very concerned that terrorist cells have already set up camp in our country just waiting for the green light to commit atrocities in our country. What happened 10/7 in Israel can happen here.
Let’s just say we are forced to strike Iran’s oil infrastructure to send a message, if you don’t think they wouldn’t strike us back inside our own backyard you’re crazy. I believe in legal immigration, accepting migrants according to our needs coming through the front door not crossing our borders illegally and totally disrespecting our laws. We have limited resources and can’t take on all the world’s problems. By 2029 it is estimated that the interest on the debt will be 1.2 trillion dollars.

How about we train our own people trade skills. We have whole school districts that have substandard education, fix our fucking problems first. Now we have both homeless and undocumented migrants living on our streets.

This line of thought is so out-dated when our legal workers are facing the pressures of automation in the workplace.

Enforce the border. Protect the jobs of our minorities or lose their votes to someone who will protect their jobs.

We need to fix how we spend and how we control tax revenue. 2029 the interest on the debt will be 1.2 trillion. Just think how we could spend that on needed project instead. We need to make some tough decisions. Both Democrats and republicans have been fucking us over and are doing so now. We need to clean house or eventually become insolvent. We need to tax and cut not tax and spend.
