USA Covid deaths hit 1,500 per day....over 7,000 deaths per week

Two 9/11 catastrophes per week.

Since most of these folks die quietly and are not visible like the deaths from a catastrophe would be.....it is easy to ignore the magnitude of this ongoing crisis.

Deaths are trending down in age group....under 30 death rate is now more than 20% of the total death rate. Children are starting to be a large component of the sick and dying.

Very grim!

What is the date on that article?

I have just checked the CDC numbers on the Covid 7 day average death toll, as of yesterday, September 3, 2021, that toll was 1047 nationwide.
Go here and scroll down to "Deaths"
You will find this:

Deaths
"The current 7-day moving average of new deaths (1,047) has increased 3.7% compared with the previous 7-day moving average (1,010). The current 7-day moving average is 13.8% lower compared to the peak observed on July 31, 2020 (1,214). The current 7-day moving average is 71.3% lower than the peak observed on January 13, 2021 (3,644) and is 449.7% higher than the lowest value observed on July 10, 2021 (190). As of September 1, 2021, a total of 641,725 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the United States."

The majority of deaths are anti mask, anti vax trumptards. Who really cares if they die slow painful deaths? They are dying for their country like good little patriots.😁

Scroll down to the chart (table 1)where is says the weekly death rate...listed as over 7,000 per week. O8/21/21 was what I used....the cite just updated the next week, between the time I wrote this another update came in at around 4,500 deaths.

Also, read the headlines where it say the CDC reporting of statistics may lag behind national database where deaths are reported by State agencies.

More than 900 pages of materials related to US.-funded coronavirus research in China were released following a FOIA lawsuit by The Intercept.

NEWLY RELEASED documents provide details of U.S.-funded research on several types of coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. The Intercept has obtained more than nine hundred pages of documents detailing the work of the EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based health organization that used federal money to fund bat coronavirus research at the Chinese laboratory. The trove of documents includes two previously unpublished grant proposals that were funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as project updates relating to the EcoHealth Alliance’s research, which has been scrutinized amid increased interest in the origins of the pandemic.

The documents were released in connection with ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation by The Intercept against the National Institutes of Health. The Intercept is making the full documents available to the public.

“This is a roadmap to the high-risk research that could have led to the current pandemic,” said Gary Ruskin, executive director of U.S. Right To Know, a group that has been investigating the origins of Covid-19.

One of the grants, titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence,” outlines an ambitious effort led by EcoHealth Alliance president Peter Daszak to screen thousands of bat samples for novel coronaviruses. The research also involved screening people who work with live animals. The documents contain several critical details about the research in Wuhan, including the fact that key experimental work with humanized mice was conducted at a biosafety level 3 lab at Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment — and not at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as was previously assumed. The documents raise additional questions about the theory that the pandemic may have begun in a lab accident, an idea that Daszak has aggressively dismissed.

The bat coronavirus grant provided the EcoHealth Alliance with a total of $3.1 million, including $599,000 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology used in part to identify and alter bat coronaviruses likely to infect humans. Even before the pandemic, many scientists were concerned about the potential dangers associated with such experiments. The grant proposal acknowledges some of those dangers: “Fieldwork involves the highest risk of exposure to SARS or other CoVs, while working in caves with high bat density overhead and the potential for fecal dust to be inhaled.”

‘Unprecedented’: Idaho Rations Hospital Care Due to ‘Massive Increase’ in COVID Patients

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) on Tuesday announced it has implemented a hospital care rationing program due to a “massive increase” in coronavirus patients in the northern part of the state that is causing a “severe shortage of staffing and available beds.” The goal is to “save as many lives as possible,” suggesting a rationing of resources means some may not receive normal standards of care.

Governor Brad Little says this is “an unprecedented and unwanted point in the history of our state,” and urged Idahoans to get vaccinated.

“We have taken so many steps to avoid getting here, but yet again we need to ask more Idahoans to choose to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. More Idahoans need to choose to receive the vaccine so we can minimize the spread of the disease and reduce the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations, many of which involve younger Idahoans and are preventable with safe and effective vaccines.”

Idaho ranks 42nd in fully-vaccinated adults.
