There are tons of Americans that consider themselves Scotch-Irish, actually having ancestors from both countries. In the case of my family, Scottish Lad met Irish Lass on the boat they both sailed on for America…hence Scotch Irish as me we mum told us…

I’m not aware that Pres Trump has identified as Irish, but in the current climate, what does it matter?
