I am a Democrat, but I agree with the Republicans on the issues of crime, race, and immigration.

Criminals are not victims of social and economic injustice who deserve remedial education and job training. They are evil people who deserve to have suffering inflicted on them.
I shouldn’t take the bait, but this is such a gross generalization that I have to respond. There should be consequences for crime. We agree there. But a few questions:

1) what defines a criminal? 20% US population has some criminal record

2) how many crimes aren’t caught?

3) are all crimes committed equally harmful?

4) do judges and juries get it right 100% of the time?

5) besides incarceration, suspension of their lives, what further suffering would you have inflicted?

6) Jim Crow officially ended ~60 years ago. For the previous ~345 years one specific race was brutally kept underfoot with fewer rights, the threat of violence, extremely limited opportunities for education, wealth accumulation, equal pay, representation, or even a seat at the table. Even assuming everything immediately became exactly equal, which we know it didn’t, it would take generations to build anything close to equality. Regardless of any individual in this group’s standing with the law, you believe social and economic injustice plays no part in circumstances that may be a catalyst for criminal behavior?

Not trying to get philosophical or make it about race (merely an example based on data regarding incarceration) but to me saying all criminals are evil and deserve no opportunity to improve their lives while incarcerated is condemning anyone and everyone who finds themselves on the wrong side of the law for any and every reason to a lifetime of suffering, as well as strengthening the likelihood for recidivism.

I agree with you in part. When more is learned about genetic criminology, we will learn that most criminals were born with crime genes; some were not. Those without crime genes can probably be rehabilitated. The rest cannot be.

I am confident that I lack crime genes. The thought of committing a perfect crime and getting away with it leaves me cold. I dislike movies that romanticize criminals, like "Bonnie and Clyde."

The world is going to be a better, saner, smarter, and far less racist place when JohnMengeleman fucks off and dies.

That sounds like Minority Report.

But if I’m understanding you correctly it sounds like you’re referring to specific crimes committed with more diabolical Intent.

I’ll give you an example of a crime I committed. About a year ago I was walking my dog. At an intersection I waited for the light. When it changed I started walking. A driver was making a legal right on red, but she was literally staring at her phone, visibly in her head. I start yelling as I realize she doesn’t see me. The driver hits my dog as she slams on the brakes. She (my dog) was knocked over and was a foot away from her tire.

I went berserk. I screamed and kicked and slammed my hand on her car, denting the hood. Fortunately that was the end of it. But if she had hurt my dog, or worse, I would have lost control, probably hurting her and/or myself.

Yeah that’s kind of a gratuitous very specific situation. But had things gone differently I could’ve easily been charged and convicted and my life as I knew it would have been completely different and likely much worse.

I say that to point out that I don’t believe I’m genetically predisposed to violent crime, but I may have easily committed a violent crime, and hurt myself, my family , my wife, and some poor dipshit woman who made the poor decision to look at her phone at the wrong moment.

Sure all crimes aren’t just like that, but the way our law enforcement is carried out, how laws are often enforced towards certain groups, unjust application of sentencing guidelines, etc., and it’s more than just all criminals being evil and harmful

Keep saying it. It’s all you idiots have to hang your hat on. A trumped (no pun) up charge to keep him from running again. How’d that work out for you morons?

Your president lives rent free in your incommodious brain.
Did you not know that being a felon doesn't restrict a person from being president? Isn't that odd? Of all jobs in America, you would think the pinnacle of our democracy's top job would call for a clean criminal background.

Those charges were voted on, and a jury convicted him in a recognized court of law before his peers. You might disagree with that decision, but it was in accordance with the law. Even those who brought the charges focused on the crimes, knowing those convictions didn't prevent him from running for office.

Your emotionally charged statements about morons and 'living rent free' are 'incommodious' ridicule.

That totally fake and staged photo of the 2 cosplaying handmaids standing with the NG troopers is a perfect example of the Left's narrative. It's fake, it's a lie, it's fantasy, and it's easily seen through by most rational people yet they persist with the same sort of performance art and believe they're winning the hearts and minds of Americans.

The reality is that the left suffers from mental illness running amok.
The patrol guy has 'five fingers' as he waves. So... it's not FaKE. It'S ReAl. Everybody knows AI people have six or more fingers and sometimes arms and legs. Not true in the phoTO So It'S ReAl.
:whistle::devilish:

Try harder To PRovE iT is NoT.

Because their cult leader and favorite pedophile posts fake pictures they have to pretend that everybody does it.

Like yelling, 'All politicians are corrupt' when their side is proved the Party of Bribery, Corruption and Pedophilia.

What will you say if the appellate courts overturn those convictions? That he was still convicted according to the law? Even though those who review that kind of thing say it wasn't?

Basically you're hanging your entire argument on a semantic interpretation of something which remains unfinished. Good luck with that.

I will be replaced by a much larger number of people who are willing to address the role genes play in determining intelligence and criminal behavior, and the way high IQ genes and low crime genes are more frequently found in some races than in others. it won't be possible to suppress the truth forever.

Your memory is going south, Bubba. I've answered this several times. Let me do it again in baby steps for you:

If overturned, I'll live with the decision; meanwhile... you don't accept the verdict and won't if it is upheld.
Nothing is hanging on semantics. It's a court decision based on law, not semantics.
I'm hoping the decision is upheld. It won't matter at all. He remains president. His sentence is over already. So what else is left but to say he will be a felon forever if it's upheld and not a felon if overturned—end of story.
There is so much more of concern about him now that overshadows his lying accounting practices, isn't there?
  • Associating with pedophiles
  • Threats of seizing other nations because he wants them for strategic purposes
  • Militarizing efforts without regard to the Posse Comitatus Act
  • Disregard for the law
  • Retribution tactics against political opponents
  • ... still not answered is the Haitians eating people's pets
  • ... and building a ballroom at the White House while the budget is gone wild
