US briefly halted west coast flights after NKorea missile test

Takeoffs at some western US airports were temporarily halted after North Korea test-launched a ballistic missile, the Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday.

“As a matter of precaution, the FAA temporarily paused departures at some airports along the West Coast on Monday evening,” the FAA said in a statement about the rare action.

Are you suggesting the USAF might have launched an antiballistic missile at the NK missile, and hit a commercial airliner by mistake? And that's why the planes were grounded?

The previous administration also came within an inch of destroying a trade agreement that provides for a national security program that lets us know within seconds if North Korea fires missiles. Without a base in South Korea, we'd have been dependent on NORAD in Alaska, which would have given NK fifteen minutes or so. Fortunately, the very stable genius Donald Trump saw the error of his ways in this and decided not to withdraw from the agreement, God bless him.


Just kidding! What really happened is, Gary Cohn stole the memo withdrawing from the agreement off Trump's desk when he wasn't looking and guessed - correctly - that Trump would forget all about it if he didn't see the memo again.
