Urgent virus question

I just got bombed with the Bugbear worm. PC Cillin has picked it up and quarantined the little sucker but it cant be cleaned. Should I delete the infected files or leave them in quarantine?

Ive deleted them the 5-10 tims Ive recieved it

un an updated edition of a good virus scan
Norton.com also has a place there where you can run a clean scan from their website.

Can you tell me how long the security check takes? I got ''Please wait'' message and nothing happens. I know my modem is ancient, so I left it for a while, but nothing happens.

Oh, I did enabled Active X for this, so the script is not the problem, I think.

I think it took about 20 minutes, mayb longer. Im not sure, its been a while.

Was there status up-date thing? Like, how much % has been done. I didn't get anything so I asumed it wasn't doing anything.
