2 separate reports but i've not yet seen confirmation: they heard noises of a fall and found him in what looks like a convulsive state but was confirmed (by the sources) as cardiac arrest whereupon they took him to a room in the building for medical treatment.

of course, we can't be sure: at his age and health status he could drop dead at any time, but the description plus the 'on the floor near a table of food and drinks' could also lend itself to a reaction to poisoned food/drink and we all know russians are fond of their poisons, almost as much as very high windows

Oh, no!
And to think he looked so virile and healthy sitting bare chested atop a horse.
I joke but I’ve not read any articles of Putin having the foresight to choosing a replacement for himself. It can’t be Medveded, right? He’s a spineless shill.
We are always concerned when there’s a potential shift in leadership of a world power.

If true, which moron resuscitated him?!? That would have been Russia's out! Out of their drafts for the war in Ukraine. Out of crippling financial sanctions. Out of political persecution. Out of oppression. Out of hell! Jesus.

Remember, these are unconfirmed reports, and it is important to make that distinction. We don't really know if he is in poor health or if the alleged health incident actually happened.

However, one thing I appreciate is that you acknowlege that these are unconfirmed reports. If this was a Rightguide thread or (whichever screen name busybody and/or icanhelp1 are using at any given time) thread, they'd insist it was true- and list some bogus source that insisted it was true. And refuse to retract it even when it is debunked. Of course, those guys love Putin anyway, and would only post such dubious unproven articles if they were about Joe Biden.

Interesting to learn that Putin had an entire medical suite built into his living residence. Guess the sight of Trump being trucked off to Walter Reed during Covid made him more leery about appearing "weak".

In reality president Putin is a moderate, do some research on some of the higher pay grade Russian politicians (some of them looks to be a much heavier handed), you really don't want Putin to die....
Kinda in the thought "the devil you know"...... if I said that right...if that makes sense?

I actually agree with you to some extent. But Putin is far from a moderate, at least as far as the meaning of the term moderate goes. It would be better to say he is not as extreme in his views to take Russia back to it's imagined former glory, than some who might replace him think.

In other Russia-related news, Vladimir Nekrasov, the newly installed chairman of the board of Russia's second largest oil consortium Lukoil, died suddenly of a previously undetected heart condition at the age of 66 yesterday.

Nekrasov had replaced the former chairman Ravil Maganov, who died on August 1, 2022 when Maganov "accidently" fell out of an open 6th floor window at a hospital where he was recuperating after surgery.

Dropping like flies in Russia.

Blimey the invisible hand is busy.

I still remember the 2020 reports he was stepping down because of Parkinson's disease. :D

Those 2020 reports about Parkinsons were....wait for it....shaky to begin with. :ROFLMAO:
Good one. I do think Putin suffers from some illness but I have no idea what it is. He does seem to grip the chair arm in a manner meant to conceal some tremor or symptom.

Rumours have it, he has been battling cancer.
