It went great thank you! I bought three gifts! (I know, I'm brilliant) They went down a storm.

I've bought my rucksack - a lovely purple one haha (god, I am such a woman sometimes). Also bought a pair of 3/4 cargo pant things, new walking socks, a sleeping bag liner (not taking a sleeping bag - its more a hygiene thing that was recommended), a microfibre towel (that should be interesting) and a decent waterbottle with built in filter system. Still got a few things to check off my list - but I am getting there

Also stopped at Toys R Us - kids are happy

Sounds like a successful shop! Microfibre towels are brilliant. The house is full of them here and they're much better.

Haha. Sigh. I KNEW you'd get excited about Toys R Us haha.

Not yet - will go for a few long walks over next couple of weeks (yeah, I was supposed to do it today - I know what I said )

Got a new Trackmaster set and Gator train and also Fireman Sam playsets

I can basic phrases, I am getting fair at listening too. I think I am actually enjoying it so much (as hard as it is) that I will keep learning even after just for fun

Ha, Google gets it wrong sometimes though. You might be asking for the nearest pub and you'll end up asking for the nearest brothel.

It's good you're getting the hang of listening to it. That's the best way of learning a language, I once read somewhere.

It's good you're getting the hang of listening to it. That's the best way of learning a language, I once read somewhere.

I have to respectfully disagree with MSH.

Just because a person has a high post count, it doesn't mean they can't be a dickhead. When I first joined this site, I didn't play any of the games on the Playground - they just aren't for me - and I had very little posts to my name. However, if you are respectful and friendly, you'll find some ladies are willing to have a friendly chat - it worked for me and I made some friends in my early days.

If you just take the time to get settled into Lit and see how people interact - it can be a huge help.

Maybe post a thread on the "Personals" section - you never know.
