Afternoon everyone, just poping back to say high.

Ref my comment on width for England, I would play Cole as the winger(used to play there as youngster) and Bridge as full back with freedom to interchange. Injuries allowing.
:)

Higher...so thats why you';re always so naughty ;)

Hello Mr Wolf :) I'd not have Svens job if you paid me...it must be a nightmare getting an idea of who to put in the team in the first place..then you've got to get'em to work well together...and all in the odd weeks they're not working for their own clubs!

Well Cole seems to be doing ok at Arsenal, mind you King at left back was a novel idea.

EL hi, to all UKers afternoon.

True Cole does seem to have been working on his defending, he used to be quite poor.

Afternoon Uk'ers.

I also agree with Mr Wolf, Cole and Bridge down the left, with freedom to inter-change. They both can defend well, and do a good job gettin forward. Not sure about the three up front though!

Mark I think we can see a marked improvement in his ability to read the game, so he now knows when he can rove forward.

Pengy, I agree I would prefer 4-4-2 but with a central midfielder being allowed to roam behind the front 2. We need to play with width and pace...just ask Wenger. :)

Rooney and Defoe would be my choice for a front two, Owens lost his pace and confidence. I think he made the wrong move going to Real, i think he's about fifth choice there, behind the likes of Raul, Ronaldo and Morientes.

Maybe more of a 4-3-1-2? isnt that how they played against Wales, Rooney was playing quite deep.

Rooney and Smith, we need Smith's height and size to act as foil for Rooney....God it's a Man U front 2.....I have sinned....:D

Yes but we lost all sign of our width, if a central player is allowed to roam then he can go forward in attack and drop back in defence. That way hopefully we can keep our shape.
