But if you want to sit.. Then it needs to be waterproof (I recommend water column pressure 20.000) and breathable, unless you fancy to freeze to ice inside your parka.
(Arctic winds, they will get inside your clothes.. do not be sweaty! )
Aye! The buffs. Not scarfs, that is a city thing, and only if you are walking.
Do not to forget in the drawer under the buffs (looking at my drawers right now)
The liner gloves!
So, you got yourself some good Hestra army leather gloves, good start!
But.. artic winds, fingers being notoriously difficult to keep warm.
You need several liners.
- Oh!! Keeping warm - I ended up with some Falke merino wool socks, they are quite lovely.![]()
i will go for water and windproof - most of my jackets are.
Gloves are tricky as i take photos a lot. I have some "mitten" style where the top flips back and only certain fingers are uncovered... the same with the thumb.shooting/fishing gloves are good for this and Decathlon also did some
my feet never stay warm, so i have fleecy lined boots for snow. got some a size bigger so i can wear thick socks, or two pairs. my decathlon winter boots have been ok so far.
the only time i got really cold was in Sweden, but it was -25 and 95% humidity. ice crystals fell from the sky. luckily there was kannebulle and coffee
