UK Online Directory. v8.

Morning all, blew a right hooly through the night here, S West and Wales hit worst, are we all ok? The remnants will make the ride to work fun!

Take care all, Buble baubles everywhere too 🤫

A Buble is for life ...

Surely the purpose of the Buble is to be defrosted annually for the festive memes? 🤔

… not just for Christmas!

Apparently Christmas will start in July next year - the Buble will be defrosted early to do some outdoor concerts ... lucky us

ha! I had to do a VLOG for our staff page at work...I'm getting a Lincolnshire accent...it ain't pretty, nobody will fap over my 'cute accent...':D

Nothing angers me quite like some random bloke gushing about how they love THE British accent. Which one, mate?!?!

In other news, I should not drink and interwebs. 🙈

(Edited because I put my foot in it)

Where in Lincolnshire?

(I want to hear your Lincolnshire accent) :D

I continue to maintain that there is no accent in North Lincolnshire but the further south you go, the broader the accent.

I do recall there was a Lincolnshire dialect - again mainly in the south of the county - and it was almost incomprehensible (like Welsh but with vowels!)

Gosh I wish I had been quicker and seen the foot in mouth comment!! Drinking and anything can be retesting, interwebbing especially!

I agree with the accent thing - and I so want to hear Janey!! - as a few years ago I dropped an Australian friend in Conisbrough in S Yorks for the day (it's ok, I am from near there originally and I wasn't being cruel!). The people she met were disparaging of some newcomers who they couldn't understand because their accents were so different... Maltby, about 6-8 miles away 🤫😊

Subtle regional variations aside, it’s still an accent! :D

There most definitely is, it depends on where you consider north lincolnshire to be...

South Lincs is almost west country like with long vowels but they're much flatter...

You know what I sound like, silly...

Good morning all...

On the subject of accents and dialects, I know that I'm home when I'm called 'me duck'....

Are we sick of Roses & Quality Street yet?

Morning, not had a single sweet yet, heard my first play of Slade only on Friday and not a Greg Lake in earshot yet... the grinch lives on in Yorkshire 🤫😉🎄

LOL ... Me too

Morning, not had a single sweet yet, heard my first play of Slade only on Friday and not a Greg Lake in earshot yet... the grinch lives on in Yorkshire 🤫😉🎄

I have always told my kids - now 33 and 29 - that it isn't Christmas until I hear Slade on the radio. One year I made it to Christmas Eve but another only January (Thanks to Pick of the Pops!) … this year, Friday 13th (of course!) I heard it 3 times in the same day!

Oh, and I have had neither a Roses nor a Quality Street, nor have I heard Greg Lake (yet)
