TV Show you think was cancelled too soon?

It's been named already, but "Freaks and Geeks" needs to be repeated. I loved that show.

The State

The Job

Daria

Police Squad (my dad taped them all and I loved that show).

Freaks and Geeks, no doubt.

My So Called Life.

And alas, I also miss Sex and the City. But that's ok because I can pretty much quote the show in every life situation :)

some already mentioned.

Fawlty Towers... far too few ever made, but they're still fresh today.

Black Adder...brilliant TV, but the last twenty seconds, a work of art.amazing

Firefly...mixed feelings, but loved the almost balletic scenes in 'Serenity' (was that a pilot or a follow on) where River? went blades with the Reivers.

Invasion...old well worn theme, but was enjoying it.

Threshold...again not that new or original, but... Carla Guigino , so that alone worked for me.

Jericho...I heard after it was cancelled a second series was ressurected...that true?... It just disappeared offf UK TV. Aspects of the series were really irritating. The neighbouring town is armed to the teeth, but Jericho seems to be the only place in rural America where no one shoots , hunts, or has heard of the NRA. They were struggling to amass a hunting rifle and a few shotguns.
Even the police department was stocked with WW2 vintage M1's. I don't actually believe all Americans are gun wielding loonies, but I think my area in Britain could scrape up more legal firearms, than Jericho managed, just from the local farmers.

Sleeper Cell...Is this one another 'dead' one...again parts were irritating, but overall looked forward to it.

Desperado...Western series from a 'few' years ago. Just love westerns, and on TV they are thin on the ground. This is about the only one I can think of from recent years. Was there one about the Magnicicent 7, with Ron Perlman in it ?.. Also did the old 'The Quest(?)' ever have an end, did they find their sister.?

Not like they were "cancelled" too soon, but I miss:

Cheers, Sienfeld, Friends, Sex and the City and even Mad About You. Will and Grace, too.

Arrested Development? Never even heard of the "tv show" just the group before this thread.

Oh my goodness...you've missed some VERY funny stuff. Judging from your other favorite shows, I'd bet you will love the three short seasons of Arrested Development.

Ron Howard was one of the producers and also narrated the show.

This show is REALLLY well written and SUPER clever.

Plenty of shows are cancelled too early, but I agree with others here, nothing could be a more obvious example than Firefly. Perhaps that is largely owing to its cult reputation, the popular version of events being how it was all just a real shame the Fox network mishandled it, dropped it too soon. But also I think there were more factors to its cancellation than how the network mishandled it. I am curious to know, how many people here even made an effort to watch it when it aired? A lot of viewers like myself didn't give it a chance. I only found it years later on box-set, after its cult reputation grew. Then it grew on me. My only frustration with it is it ended so prematurely, I expected so many more stories from those characters I was just beginning to get to know.
To the one nay-sayer who said Firefly sucked: Oh well, I guess no show can please everybody. Especially an offbeat, low-budget show like Firefly. It had its flaws. But I also find it impossible to take your tone seriously, wonder if you even watched it.

I made an effort to watch it. But like all shows that Fox doesn't like it got jerked around time slot wise.

Let's see... definitely Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip! I loved it.

I remember one when I was younger S Club 7, it was cute.

And even though it wasn't cancelled per se I still miss Will and Grace!

Arrested development, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Fastlane.

Recently, I was really upset with the cancelation of Journeyman and Traveler.

Huff

Unhitched should be taken off the air immediately. I watched it for maybe five minutes and it was painful

Blake's Seven (THE ultimate sci-fi series).

Firefly.

Ultraviolet (Jack Davenport is great!).

The Charmer starring the man we ALL know should have been the current James Bond (Clive Owen) instead of that stuffed-shirt-creature called Daniel Craig...at least Clive isn't afraid to get his shirt off (unlike DC, who won't be doing it again, sorry ladies!).

Millennium.

Blade: The Series (could have been good if they'd gotten rid of "Sticky" and got a proper actor instead of some chunky, no-talent, H-list rapper).

Highlander: The Series (the series was about 100x better than movie #2 and onwards).
