Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday lamented about what his show’s chyron described as “men in decline.” During one segment, he claimed there was “more drug and alcohol abuse” and “higher incarceration rates” in areas where women earn more money than their male counterparts.

Carlson — whose show lost sponsors in December after he said immigrants make America “dirtier” ― proclaimed “all that remained in many places” following the decline of “manufacturing and male-dominated” industry were the schools and hospitals that “traditionally” employ women, which meant that “in many areas, women suddenly made more than men.”

But rather than applaud it as “a victory for feminism,” Carlson asked viewers to “consider some of the effects.” He then cited unnamed studies that claimed women “generally don’t want to marry” men who earn less than them.

“Over big populations this causes a drop in marriage, a spike in out-of-wedlock births and all the familiar disasters that inevitably follow. More drug and alcohol abuse, higher incarceration rates, fewer families formed in the next generation,” he added in the clip shared online by Media Matters
So what does this idiot want? Put women back in the home so men can continue to be used as walking wallets? What the fuck. Gold digger women are hated by the manosphere, and rightfully so. Hypergamy is a 9 letter curse word, and rightfully so. Women who use men for money are scum and in my opinion should be seen by men as untouchable.

But the manosphere also has a habit of supporting tradcon shit-for-brains mentalities like this garbage coming from Tucker Carlson.

Logically speaking you can either hate women who earn lots of their own money or you can hate hypergamy, you can't have it both ways.

If a woman doesn't want to marry you when she makes more money than you, do you really want her at all? I for one am glad women are making more money - it shows us all their true nature. A woman who won't marry a man because he earns less will more than likely divorce a man who earns more just to strip his ass for resources.

At least if a woman earns more than you and gets tired of it and divorces you, you can get her with alimony :D :D :D I mean, let's be pragmatic about this, huh? I mean look at 2008's Manbitch of the Year Guy Ritchie - he ripped off Madonna for $92 million because she earned more than he did. It goes both ways.

And Tucker Carlson fans can really, really tone down on the fear mongering. Over a third of all married women earn more than their husbands right now. And wives who ditch their stay at home husbands are opening themselves up to a shocker-combo of alimony and child support judgment obligations. The fact that 38% of wives earn more than their husbands suggests this ain't the thing that is stopping women from getting married.

Tucker Carlson doesn't get the benefits of this. Ultimately, it means that men now have a clearer view of which women can value a man's love, and which ones only love a man's value. You can't put a price tag on that.

Didn't read the post, but the title alone led me to 1 thought:

If that were true, why was it so many women were making un-investigated claims when #MeToo hit before the Globes last year & got so many (Lauer, Ratner, etc.) kicked out of their jobs & probably other chances of employment/financial betterment?!

Probably not, probably just wants them to get over the harsh reality that nobody gets to have it all.

Adorably, you're actually describing me here - I married someone who earnt less than me. We did eventually split - I waited until he'd finished study and got a job before we dissolved the relationship, I literally gave him more than I legally needed to (long story involving an inheritance), and I now pay child support, probably more than I legally need to. 'Cos I love him. (Like, seriously, I'm not even being sarcastic there.)

Okay, you do deserve some respect for that.

I've been probing the manosphere about this Carlson statement and the fear is that career women will be even harder on men than women who stay at home: a traditionalist woman might want a man who earns at least $50K but in theory a woman who earns $2M a year will want a billionaire husband.

I mean I'm a manosphere'an myself and the fear of that shit is attractive, let's not say I'm an angel here, you know me. But the facts say otherwise in over a third of all cases out there.

Facts over feels. Even when inconvenient.
