I was in the east bit - too lazy to go west, so I went where was close.


I still have my last third of May off, so I'm trying to figure out what to do and where to go. Looks like it's be Quarantine Vacation.


Fuck, it's not like I'm afraid of catching anything.


They've already done damn near everything to me that they could and I ain't dead yet, so what's to fear???

I lived in Winchester for a bit. I took the time to drive all the roadways that Stonewall used on his Valley Campaign. Beautiful country and rich history.

My grandfather was a diehard flatlander, but he surely did love him some valley.


That is gorgeous country up there.


Of course, that part up that way is too close to the swamp.

I was just thinking that right now would probably a good time to find bargains on vehicles.

I found an f-350 that belongs in a junkyard except apparently it's supposedly got a new engine and transmission for $2,200.

He would make more money parting it out but he apparently needs the money now. I poked around at it a little bit yesterday in the parking lot where he has it one of the four door handles work. The driver locking mechanism inside and outside door handle don't work. It's a double cab I figure I'll drive for the backseat.

It's pretty trash it was obviously a seriously abused work truck. But just the frame the motor and the transmissions got to be worth a couple grand

Up too damned early because drive time. Cats are ready to be on their own for a couple of days. They've spent most of the weekend downstairs, except for little shit sleeping on my hip last night and early yesterday morning.

Our governor's shelter at home edict goes into effect today.
In this area, I expect little compliance and zero enforcement.

We're supposed to begin another spring warmup today,
of course, that means the rains will be back tomorrow,
so today is caulk day, no matter what.

I've got to babysit one of the states county sheriff's depts. on Wed. and the Air Force PJ's have the Law Enforcement portion of the range blocked out for two weeks starting on the 12th. Don't know what my schedule will be re. their activities yet.

The local bakery has shut down, they were exposed and decided to self-isolate rather than risk their customers so I will be making bread and buns from scratch because my machine can't keep up.

I just don't like tacos because they just seem to fall apart and turn themselves into taco salad.

So, I might as well just whip up a taco salad and bean dip.

Funny how it works. Yesterday Vat posted on FB a pic. of he and his wife on the course. He made mention of how in his state Golf was considered essential while hair and nail salons weren't. Some states have their priorities in order.
