I've been expecting to see a Hemi engine. Serious business here.

This is not a porn thread about pussy.

A clean engine is a happy engine.

Engines are clean and sex is dirty.

Good thing is . . . tits!!!

Looks like the drive home may well be in the rain, so Asian Granny will come out of the Watwork.

Guests this evening, doctor and tests this morning.

Not all that sure that I'm looking forward to any of that.

Have a safe drive home Wat.

Well, I certainly hope that you have spent your time wisely and have studied for those tests.

I'm not sure that I can bear the disappointment in my Weakened Condition, especially in my Declining Years . . . .

Best wishes that it's just something silly.

I'm eating Benadryl and entreating Allah that this "rash" isn't really flesh-eating bacteria . . . .

I need to remember to put the insert into the dining room table so's there's plenty of room to sip coffee and jaw.

Cash or credit?

The insert for my dining table has had its finish fade. It doen't resemble the finish on the actual table very much. It doesn't matter if it has a table cloth on it, though.

Maybe I should dig up my grandmother and kick her for buying something that wouldn't outlast her for 60 years or more.

All but loaded, so, off for the day. Good luck at the doc's.

As a teen, I was trained by a Korean War veteran to refinish furniture.
I still have those mad skillz.

I have my Lit GB card w/the American Express logo. Don't leave home w/out it.

Bacon is cured!

Velvet Glove, Iron Fist!

Dude. If you see "The Judge" w/Robert Duvall and Robert Downey, Jr. in it - you would love it. Great fucking acting all around.

The line "a velvet touch" is used one time and the timing of that line was perfect.

I have seen it and it is a good movie, but I do not remember the line.

I think it's somewhere towards the end when the Dad agrees to let his son represent him.

So much bullshit on the net when I search I can't find it now. Maybe later.

Yeah well. It's one my favorite lines now and has a lot of hidden meanings to it in different situations. In the movie it was used discreetly but both dad and son knew exactly what it means between them. Not an obvious scenario, but I picked up on it's undertones.

"When the Republican Party is out of power, they are a conservative party. The problem is that when the Republican Party is in power, there is no conservative party."
Rand Paul, yesterday before a vote on his deficit reduction bill.

6 ♦ velvet glove gentleness or caution, often concealing strength or determination (esp. in the phrase an iron fist or hand in a velvet glove)

;) ;)

Endura, this does not seem all that worrisome to me, but I'll give some of the others a chance to chime in.

I think that it is a magnificent job of exaggeration. We see a lot of that here where so many try to "turn the exception into the rule."

From your link;

“It sometimes feels like they’re trying to create a no man's land,” says Arivaca resident Peter Ragan. “All the people who are living here, and may have lived here for generations, are now part of the problem because they're in the way.”

You are left with the impression that the person making the statement feels put upon, severely inconvenienced, insulted. They can't quite grasp that this whole process is the result of the invasion, and there is no other word for it, of our nation by illegal, and for the most part unwanted, aliens. They can't seem to grasp that this is being done FOR them, not TO them.

There is a store that I make purchases at on a weekly basis. If you make a purchase with a credit card they ask to see a photo ID of an official sort. No ID, no sale. I frequently see individuals that act "put out" or otherwise insulted by that simple request. I make it a point to applaud the stores efforts every time I'm asked to provide ID. I understand that it's for MY protection that they do so and I would like to see every establishment that take credit cards to follow their lead.

It seems that we are not only becoming a nation of cowards, but a nation of self-absorbed cry babies as well.
