I was offered an incentive that amounts to just a bit less than a day's pay. There were certain numbers I had to hit which I didn't think I'd be able to hit unless I work every single window of time for which these incentives applied. Inexplicably I ticked off the relevant boxes in both of the two categories I had to hit with the exact same assignment last night which happened to be the last one I did. I also completed it about 8 minutes before that particular window closed.

Which means I don't actually have to work any of those windows of time either today or tomorrow. The problem is I now don't feel like working at all.

Also chasing those rather specific requirements to meet those incentives meant I changed both the times that I worked and how I worked and more likely than not resulted in lower revenue for all four of those days that it took me to hit that incentive.

Likely it is probably less but it's all sort of subjective since it's a series of random events with random amounts of compensation depending on things that are completely outside of my control.

Looking at the raw numbers for the four days that I actually worked I'm probably in the whole about 25% of a day's paywere behind where I would have been if I just work the way I normally work in my own vehicle. Plus I've got to subtract the cost of the rental car. Which I'm not all that thrilled with. It's got 40,000 miles on it and it's clearly about to have a CV joint let go.

It's supposed to get hot today and that will usher in afternoon thunderstorms. This means I need to get to work early, and this time I mean it dagnabbit!

It was compare and contrast with two competing business models, but I got tired of it because the usual idiots wanted to talk about everything under the sun, other than the topic, including Trump. Too many people are unhealthily fixated on Trump as if here were the first chapter and verse of Revelations.



Every once in a while, you get most of the way into a project and realize, damn! I went in the wrong direction. Well, I had an epiphany in the night. Palletizing my stuff is a good idea, but I need verticality to save space so, I have some shelves sitting there, I'll palletize them and then use the cheapest sort of tie-downs to lend them some stability. Then I will buy two or three more heavy duty ones for the heavier stuff. This will save some space and allow me to store them on the back wall, like books, and when I need a stack of shelves, I just pull them out.

He's not Hillary Clinton and they never got over the shock of her loss.
Their nastiness, her comments, the comments of many top Democrats just put people off to their "message."
In their stinging humiliation, they've doubled down on the behavior that got them to where they are today.
