Trump posted on X that he made Swift rich and therefore she owes him her loyalty. This post tells me everything I need to know about Trump. For Trump people’s loyalty is for sale to the highest bidder, including his own loyalty.
He simply cannot conceive that people can’t be bought. That their personal principles are not tired to the dollar. The phase “and be disloyal to the man that made her so much money.”, is Trump’s personal confession that is loyalty isn’t to a set of morals or ethics or the office of the president or even this country its only to the all mighty dollar. Trump can be bought he’s flat out telling you he can be bought.
More importantly he cannot conceive of a world where votes and policy is not for sale. He cannot understand how Taylor Swift or any of us could vote for someone because they may not have given us a dime they are the best person to lead the country simply because they cannot be bought.
