The more Trump expands on his foreign policy ideas the better he sounds.

He is more and more like Buchanan and Ron Paul every day.

Today the media is saying that getting out of NATO is ridiculous, nuclear arms for Japan is ridiculous, etc.

Next year, in four years, eight years, these ideas will be mainstream and probably in both parties.

Probably not. Getting out of NATO is absolutely insane. I don't honestly have a problem with Japan having nukes. But Trump couldn't even man up and say that.

Being in NATO is not the same as being the World Police. Nothing I can find states anything about us having to pay for everything. The most of any single nation is mostly a no brainer if we're talking sheer dollars and not per capita but can you find the line that demands we spend all our dollars?

We gain allies. You leave NATO you lose allies. Sure some, maybe all of them remain allies with us. But you are essentially telling them they can't count us for shit.
