I was always amazed at the goodies at school ... oh ... wait a minute ... I don't think we are talking about the same sort of goodies ...InLust said:
I am amazed at all the goodies available for students! Seems everything connected to education is one huge benifit! I mean I learned yesterday that not only does Apple give student discounts on their computers, but software companies do too. For instance, Macromedia's studio MX package which includes Dreamweaver, Flash, Freehand and Fireworks retails for a 1000 bucks, but a qualifing student can get it for 200! I may think about spending an additional year in school just for the goodies![]()
So sorry I wasn't here to help you make that 100 post mark Toyman...but thanks for the batteries reminder.Batteries Fiesty Don't forget the Batteries....... and spares!...... awww hell just get those 15 minute rechargeables isn't that as close to a man as you can get except they last longer than 10 initially......
(help me make 100 posts today!) [/B]

good morning IL! I'm absolutely sure you qualify as one of the goodies I was thinking of!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! (It's on-call week for me ... which explains why I am at the computer at 5:30am on a Saturday)

The schools on the west coast have been closed so that they maybe used as shelters (I get tomorrow off) for those living on the east coast which has been ordered to evacuate. Our shelters which would normally be used are still housing 1000s of homeless Charley survivors. There still are good size sections of with out power in this end of the world. We had just started being able to buy gas without driving 50 miles and now the pumps are again dry as people prepare. I don't know about the rest of the Floridian TCers, but Nebraska is starting to look awfully good to me![]()

Good luck, IL. Looks like we will get a ton of rain no matter what. Hopefully our east coast friends (Danny and Sorta, among others) will make it through safely and with as little damage as possible.
