Congratulations! That's great!

Thanks! You were one of the lucky ones that didn't have to put up with my ranting about "Mr. Anal".....

Sorry this slipped by me! Congratulations, IL!!! :D

It was only posted last night....and with Jeff breathing hot and heavy, perfectly understandable ;) And thanks.

Lusty....congrats, what an honor! I am so proud of you!

See, not only are you the creator of something that has brought so many people together, you have helped someone make it through the first year of college. Sometimes I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't have come here and ranted a bit ;) How you could ever believe that you are unimportant is beyond me :rose:

Yep, he can be rather distracting like that... among other things! ;)

I just received notice that I was selected as a "Foundation Scholar"!!!!!!!! And the honor includes a very nice check to help with the cost of this year's tution and such :D Just had to share the good news with all those who put up with my whining and bitching.

And wouldn't you know, I also got "Mr. Anal" again this coming term....my 4th and hopefully, final class with him. But right now the biggest problem is figuring out what to wear to the Foundation's lunchen.........

Congratulations!!! I know you've worked you little ass off with school. You more than deserve it.

Mr. Anal, huh? That's a hell of a way to have to pass his class. :D

YES!!!

They caught the guy today. Had some of the merchandise in his possesion as well. Confessed to both break ins. I think he realised his mistake.

One of the business owners in this building, and one that was broken into and robbed, runs with a little motorcycle club called the Renegades. :D He's safer in jail. :D

Seem like I only ever have time to pop in and out of TC anymore...the problem with that is, I miss letting people that mean a lot to me know that I'm thinking of them.

NG- girl, I am sooo proud of you!! Someday, I promise, we're going to get to chat again. You would have thought that moving to a new place would have killed my social life and given me time..well, it did for a couple weeks..;) funny how a simple date can change all that.

Dreamy- *hugs* I'm so glad that no one was hurt in the accident. And as far as you going out into the working world? Yes it will be hard at first, but amazingly the children won't suffer for it, and it will not only help you acheive your goals, but it will give you that sense of accomplishment and self worth that has been battered for so long. Have faith in yourself girl...you're amazing.

IL- Congrats!! Having a daughter heading into college I know just how wonderful those awards can be..you've worked hard!!

Jenny- We love having you around...you know that.

Winzy- hang in there hun... I'm glad they caught your thief.

Jewelz- I know how frustrating that had to be to lose all of those thoughts and feelings you'd written down. I know my journal is my form of therapy and it helps me to get my feelings written down. I think a lot of us struggle with that self esteem issue. At times I think I've got it conquered and other times it turns around and bites me in the butt. Just know you're not alone, k?

SS- missed you again!!!

*hugs* and hello's to toni, whspr, SSG, C_F and Jeff.

Well, no time for confessions now...lol...it'll have to wait.

Thanks, Winzy and I guess all that work explains why my ass is so little ;)

I started calling him that first term....he was such a control freak and soooooo anal retentive about everything. He used to ride my ass hard, fast and continous......but he has mellowed out quite a bit and these days I just call him Jim. On second thought, maybe he figured out trying to control me was alot like trying to control a hurricane :D

So does that mean you get your stuff back?

That award will buy me a new eMac :D Really a pain to do the homework on a PC and then have to transfer it to the Mac OS when I get into class. Of course some apps that I use for design work just won't work on a PC.

It is amazing what getting your little heart smashed can do for a girl's determination ;)

There are about 50 000 jokes I could put here, but I won't.

I'm so mature. ;)

Given the right circumstances I like it hard, fast and continous  But thank you for being so mature :rose:

Thanks, Fiesty! :) You are pretty amazing, too - and I can't wait to hear more about your newfound social life! I am so happy that things are going well for you there in NC.

Citibank Customer Service ...

Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2004 17:30:07 -0400

CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD BEFORE DYING

Motto: Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die.........

This is just so priceless....and so easy to see happening, customer
service being what it is....

My Aunt died this past January. Citi Bank billed her for February and
March for their monthly service charge on her credit card, and then
added late fees and interest on the monthly charge...the balance had
been $0.00... now was somewhere around $60.00

I placed the following phone call to CitiBank:

Me: "I am calling to tell you that she died in January."

CitiBank: "The account was never closed and the late fees and charges
still apply."

Me: "Maybe, you should turn it over to collections..."

CitiBank: "Since it is 2 months past due, it already has been."

Me: "So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?"

CitiBank: "Either report her account to the frauds division, or report
her to the credit bureau...maybe both!"

Me: "Do you think God will be mad at her?"

CitiBank: "excuse me?"

Me: "Did you just get what I was telling you.... the part about her
being dead?"

CitiBank: "Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor!"

(Supervisor gets on the phone)

Me: ''I'm calling to tell you, she died in January."

CitiBank: "The account was never closed and the late fees and charges
still apply."

Me: "You mean you want to collect from her estate?"

CitiBank: "... (stammer)" .... "Are you her lawyer?"

Me: "No, I'm her great nephew." (Lawyer info given... )

CitiBank: "Could you fax us a certificate of death?"

Me: "Sure." ( Fax number is given ) (After they get the fax)

CitiBank: "Our system just isn't setup for death..."

Me: "Oh..."

CitiBank: "I don't know what more I can do to help..."

Me: "Well... if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep
billing her...I suppose...don't really think she will care...."

CitiBank: "Well...the late fees and charges do still apply."

Me: "'Would you like her new billing address?"

CitiBank: "That might help."

Me: "Odessa Memorial Cemetery (address and plot number given. )

CitiBank: "Sir, that's a cemetery!"

Me: "What do you do with dead people on your planet?!"

Name and address removed from original email - it was someone at Louisiana State University ...

now time to go catch up on posts ...

Hey TCers have a great weekend.

Jewelz - hope you are feeling better today!

Jenny - hang in there, one week down. Oman will be home before you know it!
