Morning (afternoon?) all......

Just got back from my interview....and the strangest thing occured. I had to turn them down! There was no way my all ready packed schedule could squeeze in another 24 hours during the week until the term ends....If the ad had contained that the start date was Monday and not the end of the semester when most interns start, I wouldn't even have applied. Oh well, all things happen for a reason.......

Wow, that is truly a deep question!

Think my number one answer is family; be it born into or adopted. Somehow when I am talking to St. Peter at the end of my days about regrets, I just can't hear myself saying "I wish I had spent more time at the office".

First of all... TGIF, ya'll!!! Thanks for last night... I had a blast seein so many of the original TC'ers!!! Brought back sooo many memories!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to do it again!! :rose:

Well... all I have to say about today so far is, I hope to hell this isn't the indication of the coming year!!!

*I went to work to do the money and it didn't want to come out right....

*Took my daughter to school and was over 10 minutes late because of the money at work...

*Dropped off my car without much hassle and Mom was there waiting so we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast...

*Ran a couple errands for her while we were out.... got a call from the garage during the middle of one...

*BAD NEWS.... it wasn't the new axles they just put on that was bad (they would have replaced them for free)... seems my front wheel barring was mega bad and is costing $260 to replace... ~sigh~

*There goes my "class trip fund"... ~grumble, cuss, cuss~

soooooooo.......

Anyone got any ideas on a creative second job that can make me a couple or three hundred dollars in the next month for my kid's class trip??? :(

Sorry for the rant and blow, ya'll... I'll make it up to ya later....

Brian... I'll have to go check out that thread... sounds good about now!!!

Liza.....I would suggest selling your junk on ebay. If you have a fair amount of stuff to get rid off the money quickly mounts up. Over christmas I was making up to £100 a week selling crap i didn't want anyway*L* it was pretty hard work but it was worth it :)

To all that read this thread, I have a question to ask.

What Feeds Your Soul?

- My children, who bring out a love in me that I never knew I was capable of.
- Family, all of whom are too far away. I miss them.
- Friends, from the silliest of moments to the most solemn times. They are my escape and my safety net.
- Laughter, the kind of laughing that makes your cheeks ache and tears come to your eyes.
- Prayer, whether in a large group setting or alone... prayer fills me like nothing else can.
- Conversation that makes me rethink my views and challenges me.
- Being creative, in any way that I can be.
- The mountains of home... there are no words to describe the peace that I feel when I see them and know that I am home.

These are a few of the things...

Liza...its amazing what people will pay for said junk*L*

Oh yes the feed my soul question...it's a goodie :)

My faith.....it keeps me going, keeps me changing and keeps me happy and secure.

My family....they are my life!

My writing. It keeps me sane..helps me let out all that is deep inside me.

and more i am sure*L*

What feeds my soul???

I have no idea...

Love, Happiness, My Lover, My Friend, and My Pets...

I guess those work for me...

I'd be lost without each and every one of you!

Hiya NG! PM on the way re the pop up problem... I have dealt with something similar for my mom this past weekend.
Sorry for bailing last night, and I gather from the number of pages I had to go back, I missed a good time, damnit!

Brian, thank you so much. :rose: Right after I posted, I got really frustrated and Nigel ran a Virus scan. Nothing came up, but surprisingly when we took your suggestion we found one! We got rid of it and things seem to be running smoothly! Thanks again Brian! You're a doll!

Now to catch up on what I missed....

Well, I certainly did miss a lot..definately my favorite people in TC! :rose: It was good to see so many good friends and I was smiling throughout my catching up. TC holds such a special place for me, words could never describe...I have grown so much throughout my stay here...and I love my friends here dearly for creating so many special memories for me.

What feeds my soul... I would have to say first and foremost...connection...feeling connected in this world. Connection to my partner, my friends, my family. I suppose my soul feels damaged when I feel as if Im lacking the connection. Other things that feed my soul...good music, the weather in all of its many degrees -- most recently I drove home during a very pleasant day, just the right temperatures, the sun shining and great rock playing on the radio station. It made me feel alive, blessed, and at peace. Painting feeds my soul. I have not done any lately and it hurts... I could go on and on, but there is a snippet.

Well, Im gonna go lurk a bit. Nigel is doing a reading of a play tonight so Im all by my lonesome...

Three Texas surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had performed. One of them said, "I'm the best surgeon in Texas. A concert pianist lost 7 fingers in an accident. I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England!"

The next one said, "That's nothing. A young man lost both arms and legs in an accident, I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold medal in field events in the Olympics."

The third surgeon said, "You guys are damn amateurs. Several years ago a cowboy who was high on cocaine and alcohol, rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the horse's ass and a cowboy hat. Now he's president of the United States."

CONFESSION

With all the borscht they consume, I don't understand why Russians
aren't the world's greatest rock stars.

I mean, everyone knows that the heart of rock and roll is the beet.
