I've come to appreciate what a special place Lit is recently. A place where people can freely express themselves is rarer than we'd like to think. Discussions ranging on everything from gangbangs to the existance of God are to be found here. The vast majority of us, for the original reasons we were drawn to this site, would be condemmed as deviants by many of the rest. That's their loss I suppose. In an age where violence is accepted as an acceptable form of entertainment, we still can't say the word clit because that's dirty and it might pollute the minds of some innocent (whoever they supposedly are).

I am very glad I found this place.

Feeling a bit better and coping Sometimes I just feel overwhelmed by it all. Yep, spending the week-end in homework jail, but it is so much easier to handle after a few hours sleep. I'm sure having the crazy man out of town for the next 2 weeks has nothing to do with the improved mental state

Ya know, I didn't even think of one of those owls! I can pick one up at Wally World for under 10 bucks Beats the 100 bucks or so I would spend on a bronze heron for the robins to poop all over!!

Computer .....Male or Female?

A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.

The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because:

1. no one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. the native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else;

3.. even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and

4. as soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine
(le computer"), because:

1. in order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;

2. they have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;

3. they are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and

4. as soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

Now IL that last joke isn't fair. As a computer person you should be fully aware that a computer has several different connections on them, some of which are classified as "male" and some of which are "female". So what I'm saying is computers are freaky and not well understood by humans.

Ive been waiting for my new job to start. The training was supposed to start this monday but hadnt heard from them for awhile. I called yesterday.Guess what? They had a change in
how many people they needed and my job was eliminated.
I have already quit my other job so at the moment Im unemployed. However,that isnt the only thing.They called
me last week looking for info they had missing on me,so they ledme to believe I still had the job. They never called me
to tell me different,so I also have wasted these last 2 weeks
not looking for other employment either thinking I had this job!!
