) and his big surprise was very sweet. He arranged for one of my good friends from back home to come down for a couple of days, so it was interesting to see him interacting with a couple of my close friends.

I'm think maybe of cutting back on a class or two next fall; this year I'm locked in because of the scholarships. I figure it really isn't a biggy if I grad in June or December...important thing is I grad. Of course, the sooner I grad, the sooner I can sleep and have a social life

We're (myself, Danny, and my mother) all wishing we had just cremated my brother, and taken him back at a later date for a small gathering of handpicked attendees. Actually, there were over 100 people at the funeral and at least 60 at the celebration of life gathering after the graveside memorial. Out of all of them, the only one there was a problem with was my grandma.
I know so many of you have listened to me, or read past posts about her. She and I have always been close. But, her behavior during these ceremonies with loud outburst of vile, evil words and thoughts, verbal attacks against Danny, physical threats against me, as well as finding out her actions in the hours preceding his car accident has led me to now grieve for the loss of this relationship. The grandmother I know, and loved is dead. I think she died a few years ago, this woman inside her now, I do not know here, nor do I ever want to.
She stole our ability to lay my brother to rest peaceful, she treated Danny beyond horrible, and she may have had some responsibility for my brother's accident.
And it hasn't stopped, since our return she has continued to harassed us all. So, I'm screening phone calls and dodging feelings until I can sort through them better.
But, I must say despite her efforts to completely ruin it all, we did a fabulous job of trying to give my brother the send off he would have wanted, complete with photo's and music from LOTR!! We didn't go all fluffy with flowers and silly-girl stuff, instead we went to the mountains and clipped piles of ferns, cedar-bows, two types of huckleberry branches, and long bladed grass which we hauled to a friends house and spent the evening making "bouquets" tied with raffita. It was nice smelling, masculine looking, and extremely therapeutic for me.
Danny gave a wonderful eulogy, which brought the sadness to laughter and touched everyone.
It finally hit me at some point, he's really gone. So, I suppose if left in peace for awhile the grieving process will run it's course.
My mom's been so amazing, I'm so very proud of her, and worried now that we're back here. But, so far she's holding up ok under the circumstances. I think we've grown closer in this crisis, which feels really good. I think my brother would have liked that as well.
I hope that each of you are well, healthy, and happy.
As I was bearly able to say at the service, life is so precious and short, don't hesitate for even a second to enjoy each and every moment to it's very fullest.

I am so sorry this ended up being harder than it had to be. I hope that you find some resolution and peace. My thoughts go out to you and Danny.
