Danny and SC...I know I've said this already, but it bears repeating. My heart is with you both right now. There is nothing that I can do to heal the hurt of this loss, or make the things that you are going through right now easier or less painful. But I'm sending all my love, strength and support to you. I just need to thank you all...
I've tried to find a way to say just how much it means to me to have so much love and support sent our way. There are no words that can possibly describe how very touched I am. And so very honored.
I've taken so much comfort from each of your posts.
The next leg in this journey begins tomorrow. We fly to CA to lay him to final rest. The services will be held on Sat. the 16th. In the meantime, we'll be traveling and then finalizing the arrangements.
I'm trying to find a poem, quote, or lyric to read, but not luck yet. I'm still not sure how I'm going to pull off speaking of him as if he's gone. I may have to pass, but I want to try.
We hope to celebrate his life in a way that we hope he would appreciate. I'll try to post more about this when we return after the 20th sometime.
I've got tons of packing still left to do, but I had to let you know how grateful I am to each of you.

Have a safe trip! My thoughts and prayers are with ya'll. I will pray that God gives you the strength you need to get through this and that you are able to talk at his service, if that is what you want to do. When my mom died they asked if we had anything to say or memories that we wanted to share. I could not think of anything at the time. She always wanted her body donated to science, so that is what we did and when we got her remains back and we took them to the niche and took things to put in it with her, I still could not think of how to put a life time of love and memories into words. So I passed. Her b-day would have been 10-19 and she died on 10-25. We finally got a plague like thing that goes on the niche with her name, birth and death date and a short saying. They are going to have it ready for her b-day. The family is going to go together the following weekend to see it and spend some time there. I have not been able to go there since she died. It has just been so hard. I know in time that it will peaceful to go there and "talk" to her. But so far I have not been able to. Maybe my son and I will go on her b-day and see her. Maybe it will make it easier for when we all go. As I stated before ny heart goes out to you all. Good luck with the talk and may God bless you all. ((((((((((((((Danny and SC))))))))))))))
