Like Jenny told me before and posted here there are times when we have to say good bye to our loves and move on. I finally got the answers I was so desperately needing the other night. It is not any easier to open myself up again, but I realize that it is best to move on and try to find the man that can be there for me totally. I am not sure that that man exists but I guess only time will tell.

I don't have a lot of time to post to everyone this morning as we are getting ready to head north for the night to celebrate a family birthday. I wanted to stop in and say hello and that as always, even when Im not posting, I hoping good thoughts for y'all. I also needed to make a confession or two.....

* I, as well as Nigel, have been smober for One week, five days, 8 hours, 32 minutes and 53 seconds. 370 cigarettes not smoked, *except for the 3 cigarettes (each) that we smoked Wednesday night after I found an old pack in my car. It was a sad, momentary set back. Oh, and I further confess that we are not telling anyone except for the crowd at TC about that little faux-pas. We have saved $55.60 individually. Life saved: 1 day, 6 hours, 50 minutes.....

*We finally bought our plane tickets to fly back to NY in less than 2 weeks to go to a wedding and to have Nigel FINALLY meet my family. I'm secretly worried that he won't want to be with me after he meets my mother. Seriously, he'll probably say what everyone says after they meet her..."She's so cute. She can't be as awful as you say she is..."

Thank you everybody!

I am feeling much better now. I've decided to just let it go and just live my life and be happy and grateful for what I have, instead of moaning about what I don't have. I have a man who is crazy about me, loves me and shows it. I think Bored has noticed a difference as well. He may be ready to commit in time, I think he just doesn't want to feel pressured into it. And to be honest, I wouldn't want to do that to him. And I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because he is a little younger than I am (I think I forgot that) Thank you to Oman and Jenny and fiesty and NG and toni and everybody! You guys are the best. I hope everybody is having a great weekend

Thank you gina, fiesty, and NG for your thoughts (and to everyone else who wished me well silently). After many months I have an appointment with another doctor to get a second opinion. That will be on the 7th of September.


Speaking of wishing others well silently ... I know I've been doing a lot of that myself lately. I have been stopping in more often than my posts would indicate. I've had a hard time trying to come out of the shell I've been in recently (some of you may find that rather amazing given how verbose I have been in the past).\

Fiesty ... I hope that this new man in your life proves to be even more than you hope for ... for you deserve far more than you have received.

Gina - I don't know what's wrong with that guy of yours ... you have the patience of an angel ...

(the Wed evening setback) ... you have both come so far ... you are really through the worst of it and it takes so little to undo it all ... I know I sound like a mother hen (or an absolute prick) but I have been there and I know that those first few days can be so bad ... don't put yourself in the position of having to do it again ... you have both been so strong to get to this point ... you are on the downslope now ...

Been busy as it gets.....school doesn't start for 2 more weeks, took a temp assignment doing some software testing.....and it has the promise of part time when I go back to school. Downside is I'd probably have to give up the job at the school...just can't do both jobs, be a full time student and maintain my grades. Upside is the new job pays about 4 times that of the school. So I'm not sure yet what I'll decide....both jobs have pros and cons. Sometimes I really wonder why I'm persuing a degree in graphic design when it appears I am fated to be a puter nerd

As he mentioned, he took off again this morning for Chicago. He arrived safely, and will be working day hours, so he might possibly get some time to do something fun while he's there (or at least catch a good movie on Showtime).
