There will be no banning, there is really no abuse button. You do, however, have to ability to place the user on your ignore list.

Click on the users name in the lefthand panel of a thread and select Add User_Name to your ignore list.

But why miss out on all the fun.

But I see you have another thread just like this over in GB. And none of your stories have any comments on them at all. So what you're bitchin' about I don't know. Unless of course you just delete all comments, even good ones?!?! :confused:

I think I must have blinked and missed something here.

Getting pissed off by a troll, particularly in respect of your story, is one thing, but what makes you think that "abuse is allowed and even encouraged" ?
Have you forgotten ordinary decent conduct ? You know - even polite?
OR did your Mama never teach you the general rules of civilised behaviour?
Just because there are those who get their kicks out of being rude and insulting does not necessarily mean you have to join in with such childish behaviour.
Or does it, in your case?
Join in with it by all means, if you want.
Just don't expect the rest of us to applaud.

Yeah just usually it's not worth it. For the most part the proper reaction to what most say online is to nod and back away slowly. :eek:

Banning doesn't happen here, and even if it did, there is no possible way to stop a person from commenting in the story section. They are two differently-functioning pieces of software.

However, I have very recently had a slew of very nasty ones on mine.

I'd blame you, but well, I really have no clue who you are.

Handley pay attention, in a different thread by the same person a cretain was established as one of those fruity drinks one gets at a pool bar. You know the kind that comes with the little umbrella, cause who wants water in their alcohol. ;)
 
The stories could have had comments that were erased by the author.
 
What;s funny is in the GB thread they were complaining in someone posted a link to a thread started here about over the top comments, saying you're not alone get over it.
