Troll Bait

OUTSIDER has demanded that I put up or shut up regarding my comments regarding the trolls.

Sparky has said he has the troll profiled, knows who it is and that trolls should be exposed. So why doesn't he say?

Many of the rest of you have raised holy hell about the trolls. Is this just mindless ranting and raging or do you really want to know?

When Lil_Brandi was trolled the call to arms went out, but to no avail. She came back briefly and got trolled away again.

Several long-time members of this board like Xander, Tiggs (again) and Svedish_Chef have recently been trolled.

Hell, we even have a pregnant woman being trolled.

Others have fallen victim to the troll playing games with multiple registered identities and using same to establish private correspondence to "probe" for private info.

I won't even go into the voting fraud and plagiarism.

I'm taking a survey. Do you want to know who the troll is or not? If so, why. If not, why not.

During the time frame of Election Day and the events that happened in my life, I discovered who my troll was. (Not saying that I don't have more than one loser "after" me who has no life, but I do know who the MAIN and most hateful one was.) Basically I could care less anymore. I don't know what it was that I ever did to that woman, but I pitty her and wish her help. With that said, I shall leave the thread now. Good luck to everyone else with their trolls.

I have not been here long enough to be considered a regular or even been trolled upon, but if people are being driven off and deliberately hurt; I would think if anyone can identify these mean and rotten people, they ought to do it. It seems for the most part everyone looks after each other here, or I missed the boat, so why would or should this be different??

I haven't been trolled for quite a while, I've been feeling kind of left out here.

A cowardly act indeed, sometimes downright nasty. To be a troll is quite like as low on the food-chain you can go, so I would honestly say that being accused of being a troll was worse than being trolled, only because the post at hand was so lame, I was insulted.

Some trollings have made me laugh my ass off, maybe because they weren't meant to. My favorite was supposedly being one of Lasher's secret identities, I'm not lying, and one bonehead troll actually believed that Me, Sparky and Nitelight were all the same person. It made me laugh so hard, I had to start a thread about it.

Others around here haven't gotten off as easy.

I have my theories on who may have trolled around here, I'm probably right, but I won't say because I don't have proof, but I'm quite sure Deborah does.

With all the intentional insensitivities that are being demonstrated by these "guest" members, I am wondering why this option exists. I don't remember reading anything from any guest that was productive. (I am probably wrong, but does appear that the majority of "guest" postings are problematic. )

Why aren't people required to register? Simply by making the germs take the effort to sign up should decrease the volume of trash that is washing over the board.

I go through phases of reading and participating here and not coming at all--usually, when I stop, it is because I have simply had my fill of such bulshit and can't subject myself to any more of it. At least with my e-mail, as soon as I see that the sender is not legit, I dump it and don't have to wade through it.

Some message boards have the option to filter out specific post-ers. Is it possible that we could have the option to filter out any and all "guest" posts? (If someone really wants to tell me something, they can always e-mail me, right? No need to allow anonymous remarks for everyone to wade through, is there?)
