Top-opolis

Solid gold. I opened a volume of the Neetchster at random the other day; when my mind was far-away and musing on the mystery of the eternal-female....and my eye alighted on this famous passage.

*shrug* If I were screwing Wagner and cuddling up to carriage horses I don't suppose I'd come up with better.

Ahh ... a good meal

Steak filet cooked to perfection so it almost melts off the fork into your mouth, broccoli so fresh you debate life as a rabbit, garlic in the starch at the right amount to enhance rather than overpower, and a beer that actually tastes like something with just a touch of bitter to remind you not to get another one prior to driving home.

Yes, indeed.

It's good to be a king.

Considering the courthouse *looks pointedly at Judge Rathbone* I have no doubt the case will be decided in your favor, LOL. Still, I'll make sure to get back to you on this one when I have a little more free time. It'll be fun.

*cheering Killi on from the corner*

The referenced passage only confirms my opinions on N's work. :p

As a woman I am not interested in being valued as a "necessity" to another (man or otherwise). Beg for water when you are dying of thirst - of course. Any lower life form could do that (albeit not the actual SPEAKING part, lol). Beg for ME even when your body is sated and safe...beg out of your own CHOICE and WILL....infinitely more valuable than "need".

*takes seat in stand awaiting the gavel* ;)

Damn. I had almost forgotten about this... lol. I'm afraid these days neither Marquis nor I have much time to research Nichi, :p , but one of these days I figure court will be in session here in Top-opolis.

Edited to say: If we're going to discuss quotes in here, I'd much rather discuss Ayn Rand than N. I like your sig line, D.

My problem with this would disappear if "sub" or "slave" were substituted for "woman" and "Dom" or "Master" were substitued for "man." Even though I, personally, am I sub who desires to submit (perhaps "surrender" is an even better word choice in my mind) to a man, I rebell against the chauvinistic viewpoint of Nietzsche. I'll look forward to having the debate with Marquis one of these days.

..."It'll be humans next year," thought Primavera.
"Yeah?"
"Sure. Everything'll come full circle. Gynoids are going out of fashion. A doll may do the weird on you, but she's got no free will. A trick's got no real power over her. But a human...A human you can really humiliate."
"Is that what it's about?"
"You know it."

-Dead Girls Richard Calder

But keep the doll around so you can humiliate and frustrate your human by preferring it over her at times.

You know what would be cool for a day (although probably not technically possible)? To be physically paralyzed, including made mute, then placed inside a realdoll shell. Your three orifices would be right there coming through the doll's skin so that you would be penetrated not the doll, and your mouth held open to receive cock It would be a cool experience of objectification, and much more humiliating than a mummy cast.

Would the penetrator know?

That's a good question. There would be advantages to doing it both ways, so I think I'd want a penetrator who knew who also gave me to a bunch of guys who thought it was just the lastest super-realistic model of sex doll.

Many dimensions of perversity there.

I could just imagine one of the other patrons punching you in the ribs while humping like a chimp and exclaiming "ya can't do this with a real woman" in a slobbery drawl, while the knowing one smiles wickedly.

Awww, we're just sicko perverts. Nothing special here.

Rosco why did you let this thread slow down (won't say die down, nothing ever dies on this board without someone resuurecting it) but it's seldom frequented. :(

"In America, especially, there is always a need for moral justification. Life-style- an expression that came out of the same school of thought as sublimation and was actually understood to be the product of sublimation but had never been associated with it in America because of the division of labor that had Freud specializing in sublimation and Weber in life-style-turned out to be a godsend."Life-style" justifies any way of life, as does "value" any opinion. It does away with the natural structure of the world, which is only raw material for the stylist's artistic hand. The very expression makes all moralisms and naturalisms stop short at the limit of the sacred ground, aware of their limits and respectful of creativity. Moreover, with our curious mixture of traditions, life-styles are accorded rights, so defense of them is a moral cause, justifying the sweet passions of indignation at the violators of human rights, against whom these tastes, before they became life-styles, were so politically and psychologically defenseless. Now they can call upon all lovers of human rights throughout the world to join in their defense, for the threat to any group's rights is a threat to them all. Sadomasochists and Solidarity are bound together in the common cause for human rights, their fates depending on the success of the crusade in their favor. Sex is no longer an activity but a cause. In the past there was a respectable place for marginality, bohemia. But it had to justify its unorthodox practices by its intellectual and artistic achievement. Life-style is so much freer and easier, more authentic and democratic. No attention has to be paid to content."

Change?

Intended for his prison keepers:

Bad Guy - imported from Jacking Log

Post imported from the Jacking-Off Log

Hester and I are discussing the Korean film Bad Guy. The Netflix synopsis goes like this:

A privileged girl falls victim to a ruthless gangster in this disturbing drama. Obsessed with Sun-hwa (Seo Weon), gangster Han-ki (Jo Jae-hyeon) decides to prove that she's not out of his league. Han-ki devises a set-up wherein Sun-hwa is caught stealing money and is offered prison time or prostitution; she chooses the latter. As Sun-hwa suffers the brutality of her new profession, Han-ki, fixated, watches from behind a two-way mirror. …

That makes the film sound exploitive and sensational, but it really isn't.

i don't think hang-ji spoke at any other time. it was weird when he did and i wonder why that was included. perhaps it had something to do with his self control and losing it at that moment. i could get all analytical-like here but i'll spare you.

i don't know the answer to your beating question.

Please, don't spare me, I'm quite interested to know what you made of it. I can see it in a couple of different ways.

The psychology of the character is so fascinating. His compusion to degrade the shining object of his affection and yet, he lets others touch her but he himself, won't --- as if no matter how much he degrades her he still feels unworthy. Or perhaps it's only that if he were to cross that barrier he'd lose his power over her --- she'd eventually be able to manipulate him within a more traditional romantic relationship.

Yeah, he's a hottie.

I didn't remember that as being one of Rosco's AV's but now that you put the picture up I do.

i could go a thousand directions with this one....

one of the things that i kept thinking was that due to societal restrictions he could never walk in her world so he had to bring her into his world somehow.

i didn't see it as him feeling unworthy to touch her, and i didn't necessarily see it as him wanting to degrade her. in fact, i think he held her in such high regard that he knew that no matter what he did to her it was not possibly to reduce her core dignity and beauty. at least in my eyes she became more beautiful toward the end, culminating in that scene with the brothel-truck and the fishermen. they were both content and cozy and finally at peace with themselves and each other.

i can't help but think of this neruda poem as somewhat analogous:
Fable of the Mermaid and the Drunks

All those men were there inside,
when she came in totally naked.
They had been drinking: they began to spit.
Newly come from the river, she knew nothing.
She was a mermaid who had lost her way.
The insults flowed down her gleaming flesh.
Obscenities drowned her golden breasts.
Not knowing tears, she did not weep tears.
Not knowing clothes, she did not have clothes.
They blackened her with burnt corks and cigarette stubs,
and rolled around laughing on the tavern floor.
She did not speak because she had no speech.
Her eyes were the colour of distant love,
her twin arms were made of white topaz.
Her lips moved, silent, in a coral light,
and suddenly she went out by that door.
Entering the river she was cleaned,
shining like a white stone in the rain,
and without looking back she swam again
swam towards emptiness, swam towards death.

i'm a little rushed this morning, so i hope i was clear.

Yes, that resonates with me.

She does become more beautiful --- his henchmen comment on it, but I found her personality more appealing as she was brought down a bit. She's tempered like steel.

I don't think he knew from the start that he would revere her more. He was struck dumb by her initially, but I think he went into the project as a form of revenge and instead only refined his feelings for her and it was as much a surprise to him as her reactions were to her.

It was hard for me to determine exactly what would set him off and whether the situations were what merited him inflicting punishment on her johns or just his own state of mind at the time.

Why do you think he never takes her?
