Used to be just one phone company, now there are what, hundreds? thousands?

technology is so pervasive, phones going off in theatres and stuff...too much..

On the other hand, without modern word proc essing, my thesis would have taken about five years instead of one

Yes, you need to ask thirty questions before you can even make eye contact anymore. Trying to do that is much too difficult when you've had 2 beers and want to look alluring and demure. "Oh, excuse me you over there in the jade colored shirt, can you please tell me if you've had STD's, or any other illnesses that would make you off limits for me?" Do you think that's a good conversation opener? Maybe that's what I've been doing wrong all this time...maybe my questions are much too difficult. LOL!
