All these "statements" are simply "projection" or "whataboutism." For years, decades even, the right wing political adversaries accuse their opponents of the very same actions or behaviours they are themselves engaged in.

Similarly, there have been accusations of 'weaponising' government institutions. These critiques often coincided with calls for investigations into political rivals and, at times, with efforts to influence the very same institutions they accuse the left of politicising.
Another area is rhetoric around political violence and 'extremism'. While condemning left-wing protesters and Antifa as violent extremists, some right-wing politicians and commentators have, at the same time, been criticised for using language that some see as inciting or normalising violence, or for downplaying the seriousness of events like the Capitol riot on January 6th, 2021.
This trend is often explained by political analysts as a strategic form of communication designed to muddy the waters, create a sense of moral equivalency, and deflect criticism.
