To Heal Our Nation

You didn't get the exact point of the meaning of the word. It's not what you do, it's what you feel about someone. So equality of all genders is totally legit. Your mom should have raised you better, you shouldn't ostracize women, just because they 'lack' a penis and have a better taste.
Well, some of them have the latter.

I got the meaning of the word, I just took some liberty with it to fit the rest of my comment.

My original list of names with their associated faces should have proved / demonstrated to you how clearly I understood the meaning of the word (though I probably should have included Stephen Miller, Scott Bessent, and several others…)

😳 😑 🤣

I've been hesitant to read this forum the last few days. I might end up taking a break from it for a while, though I can't promise it will be permanent (sorry.)

I'm just tired of all the negativity and all the hate.

I think there is more hate on the internet than among the American people.

AI Overview

As of mid-to-late 2025, polls and voter registration data show that independent voters represent the largest and fastest-growing group of the U.S. electorate. The percentage of voters identifying as Democrats or Republicans has been declining, though partisan affiliation has been in close balance recently.

People who spend a lot of time on the internet are likely to be people without much else going on in their lives. I admit I am one of those people. 🙁

Many of these people have personality problems. Some are demented.

I'm quite sad, myself. The MAGA crazies will use this as their Horst Wessel martyr, their Reichstag Fire moment.

Some people don't bother voting when they are overconfident of victory. That will still happen, but probably in smaller numbers next year.
Doesn't the USA have some elections coming up this November too? Also, they've already had some elections, like the special elections in Florida for Congressional seats that showed sharply lower margins in supposedly safe Republican seats.

there is no way the left can win

Every Florida election is a "special election." I won't try to predict what will happen there.

Michigan's Dem governor refusing to call a special election for a vacant state senate seat in a blue district may show which way the wind is blowing in Michigan.

All these "statements" are simply "projection" or "whataboutism." For years, decades even, the right wing political adversaries accuse their opponents of the very same actions or behaviours they are themselves engaged in.
In recent years, this has become a very visible and prominent feature of political discourse, particularly on the right. For example, accusations of "fake news" and media bias, while historically a feature of political rhetoric across the spectrum, have been leveraged by right-wing figures and media outlets to delegitimise critical reporting and to frame unfavourable coverage as a politically motivated conspiracy. This has been seen at the same time as the promotion of highly partisan news sources and the spread of misinformation on social media platforms.
Similarly, there have been accusations of 'weaponising' government institutions. The right has often criticised Democrats and other opponents for allegedly using agencies like the FBI or the Department of Justice for political purposes. These critiques often coincided with calls for investigations into political rivals and, at times, with efforts to influence the very same institutions they accuse the left of politicising.
Another area is rhetoric around political violence and 'extremism'. While condemning left-wing protesters and Antifa as violent extremists, some right-wing politicians and commentators have, at the same time, been criticised for using language that some see as inciting or normalising violence, or for downplaying the seriousness of events like the Capitol riot on January 6th, 2021.
This trend is often explained by political analysts as a strategic form of communication designed to muddy the waters, create a sense of moral equivalency, and deflect criticism. By accusing the other side of the same alleged misdeeds, it becomes more difficult to hold a specific group accountable, and it can energise a political base by painting them as victims of a politically-motivated double standard.
What's to be seen here is just a fright wing freak murdered by another right wing freak and the other right wing freaks blaming their opponents doing it. We will see a radical "reaction" on it soon. I don't think there will be a healing soon. The nation, whatever that was, is probably dead.

“F*ck you for not doing your homework and just trying to paint him as some crazy racist — These people need to be defeated, not reasoned with”. Megan Kelly from your post.

Once again for the keyboard warriors, this is not to condone kirk’s assassination, but to answer the point you make by the Kelly video. All in kirk’s own words and with citation.

In a 2021 speech in Mankato, Minnesota, Kirk referred to Floyd as a 'scumbag' adding that his death was not worthy of the national attention it received. Without any evidence, the 31-year-old claimed it was caused by an ‘overdose’.

Kirk also described the Civil Rights Act as a ‘huge mistake’. - Hindustan times.

If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified.
– The Charlie Kirk Show, 23 January 2024
If you’re a WNBA, pot-smoking, Black lesbian, do you get treated better than a United States marine?
– The Charlie Kirk Show, 8 December 2022
Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.
– The Charlie Kirk Show, 19 May 2023

These are not the words of a non racist, and this is what skybubble is defending.

^^^This is a realistic assessment of the current situation.

Go fuck yourself, asshole. No one will miss you while you're gone and I, for one, will be sorry to see your hateful ass return after your self imposed exile.

At least you're better than rorbags. He still hasn't left, despite promising to do so for a full year, so you have that going for you.
So much hate.

It's time that the people on the other side of the pond learn a new word, I'm afraid. I already started this earlier with different words, and I'm truly sorry it's German again. I would have loved to implement something nice from the Grande Nation, but these people have nothing in comparison to the word below the Americans so dearly need
'Gleichschaltung' is a German term that doesn't have a direct, single-word translation in English, but it's best understood as 'forced coordination'. It refers to the process by which the government systematically and rapidly gains control over all aspects of society and life, from politics and government to culture, media, and even everyday social groups.
'Gleichschaltung' is Implemented in several key steps:
Political Elimination: All other political parties are banned or dissolved, leaving the government party as the sole political force.
Media Control: Newspapers, radio, internet and film are brought under state control. The Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda ensures that all media output aligned with government ideology.
Abolition of Federalism: The federal states are stripped of their autonomy, and their governments are replaced with federal appointed officials.
Social Co-option: A wide range of organisations—from trade unions and professional associations to sports clubs and youth groups—are either disbanded and replaced with government equivalents or forced to adopt government principles and leadership.
The ultimate goal of 'Gleichschaltung' is to create a single-minded, unified nation that is entirely subservient to the state and its ideology, eradicating any form of dissent or independent thought.

It's really frightening seeing that in the news every morning (from a safe country) and not reading about it in a history book about the 1930s.

On gun violence

I think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.

Self-fulfilling prophecy?
Do you think it proves his point?

I remember from way back when someone was reading fairytales to me, something about 'live by the sword and die by the sword', and 'beat your swords into plowshares'.

MAGAts tell be it's irrelevant because they don't have swords, they have machine guns set to single-fire but fitted with devices that turn them back into machine guns. And that's legal because it makes them less accurate. Or something. Anyway they beat off their meat swords just to be safe.

You don't remember who read you fairytales? Smells like more of your bullshit. :)
